Excerpt: We bought this TV after our LCD HDTV screen got hit with a dog toy and caused the screen to be unviewable. After hearing what happened to our old tv, the salesperson suggested this one because the screen is glass and as he said much more durable and won't be ruined if it is tapped with something like a dog toy. It was less then the 42 inch HD tv's. We have had it over a year now and it has a great picture, easy to care for, lots of convenient ports.
Excerpt: We've shopped for a big screen HD TV for 2-3 years now, and this set was worth the wait. It was a relative bargain (under $1,500 at Sam's Club). Panasonics are highly rated by Consumer Reports, but the 50" model in their latest review didn't have an anti-glare feature and actually cost a bit more. We are thrilled with this set and would recommend it to anyone.
Excerpt: Can't say I have checked other TV's out to compare, but I am not at all regretting getting this TV. Both the picture and the sound quality are great. I have a PS3 connected to it and after watching a Blu-Ray disc on it I will never go back to DVD, although the dvd quality is great too. Very easy to set up. A little pricey, but well worth it!
Excerpt: I recently purchased this Television and have never been happier. For those deciding between plasma and LCD, go with the Plasma. Even though everyone says LCD will last longer, the plasma has a considerably better picture (the difference is definitely noticable) and the Panasonic TV is built extremely well!!!
Excerpt: I purchased this product two years ago when it was fairly new and I have been very pleased with it. After two years of very frequent use, the picture is still crisp and sharp and better than many other televisions which I have seen at my friends' houses. It is easy to use (the remote is intuitive and the buttons can be used in the dark because of how well they are set up). It has great blacks and crisp colors.
Excerpt: I purchased this television a few months ago, it has a great picture, very bright colorful and vivid. Also the tv guide feature on the tv is a nice bonus. The viewing angles of the plasma screen are superb, it can be seen from anyplace in the room. It has ample inputs and options to satisfy any of your needs. Also the 3d sound incorporated into the television itself is quite a value.
Summary: I purchased this Panasonic TH50PX600U from TigerDirect.com back in 2007 for $1399.00 on sale. We brought it home, took it out of the box, hooked up the DirecTv HDDVR,( here comes the most important part ), reset the color settings that it was shipped from the factory with, ( google it and you will find the url for the best video settings for this set ), and away we went.
Summary: I'm leaving this review just for reference only for whoever's needing performance history on this brand name & model. I bought this TV from local brick and mortar store four years ago. It had the most absolute beautiful picture for many years until it died. It's picture quality kept up with the newer technology including the higher end LED TV's 5 years newer. I wouldn't have upgraded had it not started giving me power issues.
Summary: I bought this HDTV in late June 2007. I have absolutely no regrets. People can talk 1080p all they want unless you have HDDVD or bluray there is nothing out there. There isn't even that much HDTV on cable or direct tv yet. This set has great sound, if you don't have a home theater system with this TV you won't need one the sound is that good. The picture is out of this world!
Summary: Shipping 4 days late;however, in perfect condition. Set-up easy, great picture right out of the box. 720P picture is very good, maybe the 1080P would be better; however, for the money difference, I feel the 720P is the better buy at the present time. Maybe in time, of course the 1080P, would be a better way to go. Sound quality on this TV is great! Overall, I think this is a high quality TV and you can't go wrong on this particular model.
