Summary: With all that being said I think this is a great tv and well worth the price. I paid less than 1000 for it and I think that is a steel considering it blows most if not all tvs away in this price range.
Pros: Amazing TV. The best Blacks I have seen on a TV other than the Pioneer's. No Jaggies, No blur, Blue Ray looks amazing. The fake surround sound is neat. Sound quality is good.
Cons: * No Headphone jack. Not a huge problem. * Up close (within 3 feet) you can see a decent amount of video distortion. They could have shielded it better. * Colors are not as Rich as other T.V.'s * The Menu options are very limited for piturte adjustment. * I'm a pretty competitive player for H3 an...
Summary: This is my first HDTV and couldn't have been happier with my purchase. Also picture settings make it nice and easy to go from gaming on my PS3 to watching Bluray movies.
Pros: This is a great TV. I had the plasma vs. lcd battle going on in my head for a while and figured since I watch more television at night time, plasma would be the superior choice. I could not be happier with this tv. Great for gaming. I have my PS3 hooked up to it and games and bluray look amazing!
Summary: Using DVD, OTA and online signal feeds. No more paying for 70 channels I never watch. 15 OTA channels with 6 HD to choose from. Savings will pay for this plasma. Adequate audio. It's easy to get carried away with the fantastic video and crank the audio. Don't.
Pros: Stunning picture/color. Runs cool with whisper quiet fans. Smart menus. I/O galore. Comfortable remote. No stuttering text crawls. No stuttering period.
Cons: Nvidia dvi->hdmi video connected to HDMI ports 1 or 2 freaked me out! Spend a fortune and now I can't do it all with scary flashing power lite problem. 3 fixes, pick 1: -Use HDMI port 3. -Use a HDMI Active Equalizer Extender Repeater with HDMI port 1 or 2. -Use ATI video.
Summary: Overall this is the best TV I found for the money and the cons that I mentioned are a bit nit picky. If you're looking for an HDTV that's high quality but won't bankrupt you, this one is the way to go, I promise, you will NOT be disappointed.
Pros: I shopped around for my HDTV for nigh on 3 months and I finally picked this one. The colors are stunning, much better than the LCDs I looked at. I use mine in my living room that's literally surrounded by massive windows and the TV is never too dark or has glare problems. It is simply an amazing ...
Cons: The menu, while being all I really need, leaves me wanting more. The image controls are adequate, and so its the sound, but I find myself yearning for more control. I could also use a couple more HDMI inputs, 3 is good, and I haven't seen TVs with more than 4. But I have an Xbox360, bluyray playe...
Pros: Besides being $400 cheaper than Best Buy, the shipping company actually delivered the set to my home and helped me carry it up to an upstairs bedroom. The TV works great and I will definitely buy again from Newegg.
Summary: Bought this set after owning a more expensive Samsung LCD for about 9 months. The LCD pixelated and blurred images when a lot of motion or a lot of colors were present on the screen at one time. The Panasonic plasma has a much better video processor and produces a great picture.
Pros: Excellent picture quality Best black levels in this price range Fairly resistant to burn-in Next to no motion blur. Movies look excellent.
Cons: Bezel is wider than it needs to be, especially on the sides. Set makes a buzzing sound when turned on that is audible from about three to four feet away, especially when the screen is displaying a bright scene.

Summary: I bought a th-42pz80U two weeks ago, and already it is broken. I DO NOT recommend this TV at all. There is a fauly on-off switch that can fry your TV, as it did mine. I called the help line, and of course, they do not deal with Canadian customers.
