Panasonic is probably as surprised as we are that it is still the only manufacturer selling 42in plasma TVs with Full HD resolutions. But then it is, after all, apparently hugely difficult to make stable plasma cells (or pixels) small enough to fit 1,920 x 1,080 of them into the screen acreage afforded by a 42in TV. So we guess other brands either just haven't cracked the miniaturisation problems yet, or else they've decided it's easier to stick with LCD technology for... Read more

With the rapidly depleting prices of flat-panel televisions in the current climate, 1080p is quickly becoming both a buzz phrase and a necessary technology to common consumers instead of a strictly enthusiast’s tool. The fact that a rash of 32” 1080p sets has hit the market is clear indication of that fact. But the mainstream integration of this new resolution has created a stirring new trend in the panel market, aside with changing economic conditions: the... Read more
Glad I bought it. It's really great for watching DVDs picure is razor sharp, without the blotchyness in the shadows like I had with my Sony Bravia LCD TV. Buy it you'll love it too! Cons; It's an energy hog, 573 watts, after an hour you can feel the heat coming of the screen. The shiney frame produces distracting reflections. Read more
The picture quality on this TV is so good that it makes real life look fuzzy. I hooked this up to my PS3 running 1080p and when I first played Call of Duty 4 on it, I felt like I should have been debriefed because it looked so real. I have only 3 gripes about it, first is that the design is so basic its boring. Then again, a comparable Bang and Olufsen system would have been 10 times as much. The second gripe is that there is no VGA port. This I thought should be really... Read more

We are very satisfied with the picture and sound quality of this flat screen TV. I am less satisfied with some of the broadcaster's version of HD. The broadcaster HD signal quality varies widely. The picture quality on Blue Ray disks also vary, that was very disappointing to me. I am not a fan of the digitization of the video signal, I see artifacts all the time which bother me. I prefer using the analog input cables for best picture, unfortunately the analog inputs are... Read more
Love this television. I've had it for over six months now with no problems "knock-on-wood" . i use it for my PS3 and w/1080p visuals playing games and watching blue-ray movies is great. I don't have a lot of experience with HDtv but ... I have a friend with a 1080i tv and there is a noticeable difference. Read more Less Read more
