The Panasonic Viera TH-42PX80 offers V-real technology that offers resolution of 1024 x 72 pixels, advanced 3D colour management system and if used with suitable HD inut it can display high -definition pictures. It also features a digital tuner, on-screen display for changing of settings using the remote control and by slotting in a SD card images can be shown on screen with its memory card slot.

Features

The Panasonic Viera TH-42PX80 has the V-real technology that offers picture quality in resolution of 1024 x 72 pixels. It also features the Advanced 3D colour management system that measures colour, brightness and luminousity separately to produce the best choice of quality for each function, which gives a brighter and clearer picture. By incorporating the 100Hz Double Speed motion technology screen images are smooth and also flicker free. The sound is produced by its V-audio sound system also incorporated with its Bass boost. The speaker output is 20 watts. By the integrated digital TV tuner channels various channels can be picked up, without the use of a freeview box. Digital images can be viewed by plugging in the SD card from a camera into the Panasonic Viera TH-42PX80's SD memory card slot for a slide show. The Panasonic Viera TH-42PX80 is also HD (interface 3)capable, this allows transmission of HD signals as an input from any HD compatible devices, for example a satellite or cable receiver or an HD quality video recorder. It also broadcasts on a higher resolution as compared to analogue or digital broadcasts. Its screen featured is a widescreen 16:9 wide cinema style format on a screen size of 42“ or 106cm. It has a contrast ratio of 15000: 1. The AV input is located on its rear. Some of its features are Fastext which is an enhanced version of Teletext which uses coloured keys on the remote control as shortcuts to the Teletext pagesm, On Screen display that enables various settings to be changed by using the remote control and SCART sockets to enable connecting audio visual equipment.

    I live in LA and was wondering if I could tune in OTA HD channels. Is this difficult to do? Do I need to purchase other accessories?

    It says it features a digital tuner so it should work just fine for receiving OTA

  • can i hook my laptop up to it using an s video cable? if p. how?

    if they both have an S-Video connection then you should have no problem, you'll have to change the laptop output to S-video to be able to see it though and change the resolutions to make sure it's clearly

    If your laptop has S-Video input, you can hook it up but if it doesn’t you can’t hook it up. Refer to the manual to get more
