  • Summary: Comments about Panasonic TH-42PX60U: I've had this TV for about 2 weeks now, and I absolutely love it! I wouldn't trade it for the world. My friends would tell me that plasma TVs aren't good, but when I got this TV, I proved them all wrong!
  • Pros: Attractive Design, Fast Setup, Great Picture, Simple Controls

Best TV for the $$$

D. Gerry, Amazon
3 March 2007
  • Summary: I've had this for over a year now. This is an excellent TV with incredible image quality. Many TVs produce unpleasent reds, but this one handles every shade with ease. Blacks could be a little deeper, but it's not a problem thanks to adjustability and great controls.

Excellent HDTV for its price!

IGOR L., Newegg
8 February 2007
  • Pros: Has an excellent picture and sound quality. Great contrast, color gamma and decent black-level. HD shows/movies out of cable box via component cable look more than perfect. Excellent DVD-video (MPEG2) handling. Stylish design.
  • Cons: No D-SUB (PC input) interface. No CF (Flash) or XD cards support. No CableCard option but other than these it is good Plasma HDTV for its reasonable price.

  • Summary: In December 2005, I purchased the Panasonic TH-42PD50U 42" Plasma EDTV. I consulted with Consumer Reports and CNet and they both concluded that this was the one to get (at least in my price range). I've now had the TV slightly over a year. It continues to impress guests.

  • Summary: One person setup is possible. But you better be a moose like me to lift it up and set it down on the stand, w/out dropping it.

FANTASTIC

Jermaine W., Newegg
30 November 2006
  • Summary: Unless you are going to plunk down 4 gran on a tv no need to buy anything else other than this.
  • Pros: Great picture and sound. Switches between HD 1080I and regular tv 480I fairly quickly.
  • Cons: Remote should be backlit. I have a 32 inch Sharp Aquos and it has a back lit remote. Comes in real handy when you are watching a good movie in the dark.

  • Summary: if the green looks off turn off the panasonic smooth blend?(I think is what it's called), mine looks great tho LOVE MY PLASMA
  • Pros: Supremely vivid color and the picture clarity seriously rivals that of the higher priced end of the market.
  • Cons: no PIP, DVI, or VGA inputs, but hey it has HDMI so who cares? weighs in at a hefty 70lbs.
