Summary: Comments about Panasonic TH-42PX60U: I've had this TV for about 2 weeks now, and I absolutely love it! I wouldn't trade it for the world. My friends would tell me that plasma TVs aren't good, but when I got this TV, I proved them all wrong!
Pros: Attractive Design, Fast Setup, Great Picture, Simple Controls
Summary: I've had this for over a year now. This is an excellent TV with incredible image quality. Many TVs produce unpleasent reds, but this one handles every shade with ease. Blacks could be a little deeper, but it's not a problem thanks to adjustability and great controls.
Summary: Panasonic is the leader in plasma tvs and this model (and its successors) are hands down your best bet for quality. I did a lot of research before investing (because like many people, I don't have $[...
Summary: In December 2005, I purchased the Panasonic TH-42PD50U 42" Plasma EDTV. I consulted with Consumer Reports and CNet and they both concluded that this was the one to get (at least in my price range). I've now had the TV slightly over a year. It continues to impress guests.
Summary: If you can get this for less than $1500 then do it. This is a great picture for the price. Most plasmas sell for well over $2000. I would get this one all over again if I had to. It makes me cry to have to turn it off. You wont be disappointed.
Summary: This set has a terrific picture and I find myself watching odd TV programs just to enjoy the HD. It was easy to install and the controls and instructions were very straightforward. Only trouble I had was with my local cable technician who tried to hook up to his HDTV box using coax...
Summary: I did much research before making this purchase and this TV is the way to go for high-def. DLP has bulbs that blow and cost $500 to replace (and you can't do it yourself unless you have a degree in electrical engineering)plus limited viewing angles.
Summary: The truth is most people still watch SD programming on their HDTVs. I wanted a TV that would give good SD quality and I think this one gives outstanding quality. I have Dish Network International programming (that won't be going HD any time soon) and the channels look great on this TV.
Summary: I've had it for a couple of months now, and still find myself watching with amazement at the picture quality. Everything was easier to set up than I had expected, and it performs better than expected.
