Summary: Given that the technology in TV is upgrading rapidly, I wanted to get into HDTV with a moderate expenditure. This way, I could experience the benefits of HDTV now for a reasonable cost and still upgrade in 5 years or so without feeling like the expenditure now was wasted. The Panasonic 37" plasma is basically the top of the line from 3 years ago.
Summary: This is my first plasma TV and I am thrilled with the beauty it delivers. The blacks are black and the colors are perfect. I have HDTV via cable and it is hard for me to go back to watching regular TV. The size is perfect for most livingrooms. I would not get any plasma TV however unless you are going to get High Definition reception, as it does not do the TV justice.
Summary: Recently purchased a Panasonic 37" Plasma HDTV, added a basic "Bose" 3-2-1- DVD/CD/radio and surround sound package, after market high performence video and sound cables, that were recommended for maximum picture and sound quality. I had it installed on the wall using a recommended pull out wall mount bracket.

Summary: An emergency purchase when our old 28" Philips television - one of the earliest widescreen CRT televisions - blew up after eight years faithful service. My wife is not interested in electronics, other than appearance and did not want an enormous new television. Given the size of our sitting room, we decided that a 37" screen would be sufficient as neither of us wanted the television to dominate the room.
Pros: Picture and sound quality; appearance; good value
Summary: Amazing TV for the prices about. The colours are superd and the quality of the picture is brilliant. Honestly the best TV I have ever bought for the money paid. It is still going strong and i'v had it for 2 or 3 years now. Its HD which looks great through a blu-ray or SKY HD. A relative has the same TV and Freesat looks superb on it too. One feature really to write home about is the sound quality.
Pros: Excellent picture quality and colours. Excellent sound
Excerpt: "Forget LCD!! I purchased this Panasonic Plasma TH37PX60E last year ( 2006 ) and have been nothing short of amazed at the performance of the set. Hook up a standard defintion digibox through the RGB scart terminal and the set will upscale the picture with top class results while reducing the smearing (associated with LCD\'s) and pixelization. HDTV or upscaled DVD pictures through the HDMI terminals are out of this world without colours being overbearing ...
Pros: Deep blacks, no 'smearing', standard definition upscaling is brilliant
Excerpt: "Panasonic TH - 37PX60B Hubby and I had been discussing Plasma and LCD TV's since they began coming out, and were well versed in HD and its benefits, when we stumbled across this bargain whilst out buying a new cooker. We purchased this HDMI & HD ready TV for £1350 including stand and delivery costs some six months ago, and apart from a huge pang of guilt when I handed over my credit card, have never regretted it since.( and, yes, I know prices ...
Excerpt: "...details read on. I bought my Panasonic TH37PX60B not "E" as in the title 8 months ago and to say I'm please is well, an understatement. This HDTV provides excellent picture quality from a large screen with really deep blacks (lacking from many flat panels) thanks to a contrast ratio of 10000:1. A cracking built in freeview tuner and decent on board sound are all part of the service too at a price unthinkable just 12 months ago. I paid just £1073 ...
Pros: Cracking picture - fantasic value for money - connectivity
Excerpt: "...PC socket is also handy. The Panasonic VIERA TH-37PX60E is a 37" (diagonal) Plasma TV equipped with both analogue (5 main channels) and DVB (Freeview), with 20W stereo sound through built in speakers, and most of the connectors you could want for external equipment. You can watch analogue whilst recording DVB from the TV SCART socket. The Panasonic Viera has on the back 3 SCARTS, 2 HDMI, PC socket, Phono (RCA) sockets for audio in and out and ...
Pros: Brilliant picture, good viewing angle, lots of sockets .
