Summary: Bought this junk 3 years ago. Use it as a theater room screen. Doesn't get used everyday. Has become inoperable 2 times. Both times required PC board replacement (same board). Bought Panasonic because of it's rated reliability. Won't buy again.
Summary: Get it calibrated and mess with the different themes to find which works best. Tons of ports.
Pros: its just awesome! no permanent ghosts. 10 hours of constant gaming with white scores/maps/data always in the same position with definitely burn an image on, but 15 minutes of the provided scrolling white bar makes them go away!
Cons: Buzzes when showing bright images, happened after a year. Can't notice it with audio playing. Wish it came with headphone port and internet connectivity, but for the price back then, it was acceptable to forgo these.
Summary: Consumer Reports loves Panasonic plasmas. I stream video from my laptop thru it, and listen to audio CDs. But the speakers point downward from the cabinet, so the sound, rather than being projected out to where you sit, is projected down into your entertainment center!
Summary: + Great Picture Vivid Display Easy to use Controls Outputs 5.1 Surruond via Optical out (verified in manual) Sturdy - Only two HDMI inputs The speaker in the tv sucks it faces the back of the tv, so having the tv up against the wall really messes with the sound.
Summary: I bought this tv right before christmas, had it for 4 months and loved it. I have two older panasonics which I love also, at month 4 it turned off and started blinking, I has been over 4 weeks that it has been at the repair place because panasonic has the part on back order..
Summary: Waited for 5 months to do a review, so far so good. Picture is incredible. This is our 2nd plasma, the first was a 42" and was 6 years old. We paid the same amount for this 58" as we did for our 42. Will definatly go with panasonic in the future
Summary: There was one other Panasonic which had a little better specs. However I was concerned because we live just under 7000 feet in elevation, and this TV had a higher elevation rating. We have had no problems with the TV and it's been 7 months.
Summary: Upgraded from 42' LCD. Plasma picture great - much better than LCD. At 1st overwhelmed by size compared 42' LCD, but after a month or so, size pefect for my 10-12 ft viewing distance. Research prior to buy said glare/reflection much improved over previous plasmas. This is my biggest complaint.
Summary: I searched through review after review about this tv and other Panasonics like it. I was told and research would indicate Panasonic has a history of quality especially in regards to Plasmas. This reputation seems to be just that...history!
Summary: I ENDED UP BUYING THIS SOMEWHERE ELSE BECAUSE AMAZON'S PRICE-MATCH POLICY FAILED TO COME THRU AS ADVERTISED. SUPPORT WAS RUDE AND UNSUPPORTIVE ON THE MATTER. I BUY A LOT FROM AMAZON & WAS DISSAPOINTED THIS TIME IN THE POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE ON SUCH AN EXPENSIVE ITEM
