How do you connect a PC Laptop to the Panasonic TC-P58S1 HDTV to allow viewing of JPEG pictures stored in the PC through the TV?

  • Re: How do you connect a PC Laptop to the Panasonic TC-P58S1 HDTV to

    I am having the same problem and cannot use the set as a display as well. The SD transfer is not an acceptable process for me. There must be a direct connect using my Inspiron laptop DVI output. I have accomplished this on a Toshiba set with no problem.

    The easiest way to accomplish your objective of viewing JPEG pictures stored in your PC laptop on your Panasonic TC-P58S1 Plasma HDTV is to:

    1. Transfer the JPEG pics in your laptop onto an SD memory card. SD Memory Cards are purchasable at any office supply store;
    2. Simply insert the SD memory card into your Panasonic's SD memory card reader slot;
    3. Begin viewing!

    That's all there is to it. More info, including spec sheets for the Panasonic TC-P58S1 are available at http://highrollertoys.info/category/58-panasonic-tc-p58s1-plasma/.
