Excerpt: This TV has superior black levels and accurate and the inherent benefits of being a plasma: screen uniformity and great viewing angle. It will visually satisfy all except perhaps the pickier videophiles. Panasonic added an "anti-glare" layer which mildly reduces reflections but does glares still persist in well lit areas. The bezel is a minimal black design with a textured feel and the back of the television is made of sturdy metal.
Excerpt: Bought this tv back in the summer and must say this is one of the better purchases I've made. I was looking for a large screen hdtv that has minimal input lag since I plan to play games that require as less lag as possible. this tv produced around only 30ms of input lag which worked great for most games I throw at it. Rockband plays flawlessly on it and looks beautiful. Its definitely a great tv for the buck.
Excerpt: I have had an LCD for a long time, owned this plasma for a year and the reliability and picture quality are stellar. We are very pleased with the unit, it is a good sized tv that we got for about 1K even. Easy to use, auto shut off prevent the thing from sitting on for ever, and their "rotating" pixels are supposed to take care of an image ghosting.
Summary: We Love this TV, Absolutely Gorgeous Picture and the sound though adequate ,is best hooked up to a home surround. It arrived on schedule but due to colder temps they were unable to set up and test.I let it set for 6 hours before turning on to obtain room temp(always overly cautious on these things). Picture was STUNNING even in Standard mode with settings below 50 ,which is recommended for first 100 hours.
Summary: Works as expected, great picture, great price. Great TV if you don't want to pay for all the "bells and whistles". No 3D, no internet, but I did not want that. I just want a great picture for my Direct TV and Xbox 360. I was was a little disappointed that the increase in size from 50 to 54 was not dramatic. Update: September 6, 2013, the TV no longer works. It has a common but deadly problem where the power board fails. A known issue with many Panasonic TV's.
Summary: So I got this TV after much research and reading lots of the reviews on Amazon. After watching it for a week, I can say it has fantastic picture quality and represents a great value in the current market for 50+ inch HDTVs. The service was also excellent, the delivery men took it out of the box, set it up, and plugged it in so we had to do nothing but sit back and enjoy.
Summary: This is our second Panasonic plasma TV. The first one is a 50" PIP model HDTV we purchased in 2004. That one always had a terriffic picture but this one is, unbelievably, so much better. The degree of detail available is better than any we have seen anywhere else on any brand. Indeed, it may be too good as you can routinely see the facial flaws of the actors. The backgrounds, color depth, and detail are no less than breathtaking.
