Summary: I was skeptical of this set at first, when viewed in-store, it seemed dull and dim compared to the much brighter LCD's on display. Those employees, like a couple reviewers here, just have no idea how to properly set it up.
Summary: I ordered this TV Panasonic VIERA TC-P50ST50 50-Inch 1080p 600Hz Full HD 3D Plasma TV on 12/16/2012 and received it on 12/20/2012. Unpacked and installed it in short order by myself. It's really big! I got this TV for sub-$600 and I'm a very happy person!
Summary: I usually love new egg...but this "see price at checkout" is getting kinda rough. On this tv I went all the way to the credit card screen and still no price. Going to get in the car and go to town and pick one up today. I'm through with price in cart stuff.
Pros: Panasonic Viera TV's are great. I have two Plasma tv's already and they both are working great.
Summary: This is probably the best bang for the buck TV at this size. It's a no frills model with a fantastic picture. Personally, I'm not interested in 3D, and I can get wi-fi connectivity through a blu ray player for less than buying the smart tv model.
Summary: I've owned a Panasonic plasma for more than a year now. I got an amazing deal on a 50 inch 720p display, so I couldn't pass it up. I did a lot of research concerning the 720/1080p debate prior to buying, and couldn't justify the extra $200 for what seemed to be a negligible difference in picture.
Summary: This is my third Panasonic Plasma TV - and yes the other two are going strong. I am a believer that Panasonic delivers an awesome product and this TV is no acception. It is NOT a smart TV, as it is for my kids attic "hangout.
Summary: I was in the market for a simple 50" 1080p TV. It was for a man-cave and was only going to hook up to a PS3... games with my kids, Amazon Instant Video, and PSN movies. I didn't need wi-fi, didn't need 3D, and only needed 1 HDMI input. This TV comes with 2.
Summary: I have a 6 year old Panasonic Plasma @ 43 inches on the main floor of this split level home, and very happy with it. So it was not a difficult choice to choose Panasonic as the brand of choice for a wide screen in a new media room. My minimum acceptable size was 50 inch, max size 60 inch.
Summary: The Panasonic TC-P50U50 plasma TV is a middle level plasma but it has a great picture unsurpassed by the more expensive models from Panasonic and other mfgs. The sound is very good using the on-board speakers but I have a surround sound system so I don't use them.
