Great TV, but died after 2 years

SoCal Gal, Amazon
27 January 2014
  • Summary: Great TV, but died after 2 years. The circuit/motherboard overheated and we got the plasma pop of death. Found out that Panasonic removed the cooling fans as a cost reduction so after 2 hours of use the TV will overheat and eventually die.

I love it.

rpgdude, avsforum.com
20 August 2013
  • Summary: I was gaming back in the starcraft one day's on the biggest CRT I could find. My last CRT was the Sony GDM-FW900 24" Widescreen CRT Monitor. It weighed 96 pounds and I haven't seen an LCD that can touch its clarity, blacks or speed for gaming.
  • Pros: Black blacks, great color and clarity. No input lag. Built in settings are good. VIERA Link and SD card.
  • Cons: 62 pounds. Glass screen was cracked on the first one. Only one HDMI port.

Panasonic is failing me with their plasma products

kduit65, Amazon
26 April 2013
  • Summary: ** Update ** Although this Panasonic Plasma tv did not last very long, I was thankful I purchased it with an American Express card that had an extended warranty provision. It took some time to go through the claims process, but was able to be successful in getting my money back.

Terrible

James G McKay, Amazon
20 March 2013
  • Summary: I purchased this TV a little over a year ago and I have been terribly disappointed by it from day one. Unfortunately, I was too lazy/busy to return it or request a replacement. However, I don't feel I should have had to anyway.

Bought Used - saved money & happy

Amazon
10 September 2012
  • Summary: I bought this item from an Amazon reseller. It was used and labeled in very good condition. It has some cosmetic blemishes but it works fine. I have it next to another Panasonic of the same model purchase new. You can't tell a difference in the picture quality.

Beware the Panasonic HUMMMMM-buzzzzzzzzzzz

Pike Mortnoy, Amazon
16 May 2012
  • Summary: The hummmmmmmm-buzzzzzzzzzz that emanates from the back of this TV is maddening! The first 6 months was bliss: Beautiful picture, crystal clear sound...UNTIL the hummm. Like an old heterodyne-hummmm, but louder, this buzzzz is so distracting!

Red blinking lite of death

Michael Baldwin, Amazon
10 May 2012
  • Summary: This TV was a poor selection for me. I have made some good electronics purchases in my life but both of my Panasonic products are not one of them. I thought the blinking light of death only happened on four year old X BOX 360s. I guess I can't return it. Not sure how much it will cost to fix it.

Great picture while it lasts

Amazon Customer, Amazon
14 April 2012
  • Summary: I purchased this TV in May of 2011. At the end of February 2012 it stopped showing a picture and the led flashed 7 times. I contacted Panasonic's customer service and after the troubleshooting they indicated it must be repaired by an authorized service center in the area.

Great picture. Good sound. Great price. I'm VERY happy with this set.

milacamooneyman, Ebay
9 April 2012
  • Summary: I am NOT an electronics expert. My only past experiance with HDTVs has been with 2 Sony TVs. One is an older, very heavy, 32" CRT-style and the other is a 34" Bravia. Both are 5-7 years old and both still work great! This HDTV was puchased as an 'Open box' item.
