Summary: I was gaming back in the starcraft one day's on the biggest CRT I could find. My last CRT was the Sony GDM-FW900 24" Widescreen CRT Monitor. It weighed 96 pounds and I haven't seen an LCD that can touch its clarity, blacks or speed for gaming. Alas, it got dim so I sold it and replaced it with an ASUS VE278Q. I noticed the difference immediately. The LCD was light and bright and that's all. I was so spoiled by CRT's and for the next three years I had to settle for LCD's.
Pros: Black blacks, great color and clarity. No input lag. Built in settings are good. VIERA Link and SD card.
Cons: 62 pounds. Glass screen was cracked on the first one. Only one HDMI port.
Great picture. Good sound. Great price. I'm VERY happy with this set.

Summary: I am NOT an electronics expert. My only past experiance with HDTVs has been with 2 Sony TVs. One is an older, very heavy, 32" CRT-style and the other is a 34" Bravia. Both are 5-7 years old and both still work great! This HDTV was puchased as an 'Open box' item. It is flawless as to picture quality and nearly flawless cosmetic wise.
Excerpt: This Panasonic TV has spoiled me forever from going back to regular non-HD TV. The screen size is great. We have it sitting on a table top so viewing is at eye level. The colors are vivid, crisp, and clear. You are missing details with standard TV you never knew you were missing. Excellent picture quality even after having the tv for a couple of years. I an not sure how to really evaluate that as we have always had it hooked up to our surround sound theatre speakers.
Excerpt: We recently traded in our four year old Panasonic tv for this newer model, and we have been very pleased. First, this tv is just as good as the LCD models sold for twice to three times as much. This tv is suprisingly light for it's size at only about forty to fifty pounds. I am not a very strong lady, but I can lift and move this television on my own with confidence. The picture speed, clarity, and color are all great as well.
Excerpt: Overall I love this TV, though I did mark it down a point for the problems with its "Viera Cast" smart TV menu. We have a Roku to go along with the TV so when I can't get to Netflix through the TV but can get it work through Roku, I know the problem is the TV. I think some of the apps in the menu are not being updated to work when the different services, like Netflix, are updated. Despite that problem, I do love the TV.
Excerpt: After waiting for what seemed like forever to plunge into the plasma television market - we finally decided on a Panasonic. What I love about this television is that it is so sleek. It's sexy. The picture quality is awesome. The blacks are black, the whites are white and the colors pop out at you. We have had a few issues with day light viewing, but only because it is still in the breaking in period and we have not adjusted the settings to the correct ones.
Excerpt: I really love this TV! I recently purchased it for my new apartment and so far have been completely satisfied. The picture quality is great! The TV is internet capable, so applications like Netflix, Hulu, HBOGO, etc. can all be accessed through your TV without the need for a Roku, Xbox, Wii, etc. The only negative are the ads the pop up at the bottom of the screen when you turn the TV on. They disappear quickly, but I find them a bit annoying.
Excerpt: Picture is great, controls on the front panel make for quick access to everyday uses. Easy to mount on wall. Big enough to hang and wall and see from across the room but not overwhelming in size. Great for tv, movies and games. Sound is fine for tv/movies and also ok for music played through the system and also for concerts watched on TV or with DVD player. Love that the front of the TV gives you access to controls and some inputs for quick access.
