Plasma is great

C. A. Gibson "Gibby", Amazon
14 January 2011
  • Summary: First plasma and first TV this size. Picked it up on a Black Friday sell for less $ than an 36" LCD. We all enjoy this tv and it is quite bright even in a bright room. Only downside is the glass / glossy screen. This seems to be the norm now on 90% of the TV's out there. Kind of a pain dealing with reflections. Also this has only 3 HDMI which is a problem for some. I am okay with it.

1.5 years later and no regrets. Still a great TV!

Jason Wheeler, Amazon
14 November 2010
  • Summary: This was my first flat panel TV purchase. I did tons of research, LCD vs Plasma, sizes, brands, and settled on this model. The step-up model had THX modes and 1080P/24 support, but was I think $500 more and I didn't think it was worth it. I'm a big fan of plasma, I think the picture has a much warmer/softer look to it, better black levels, although they use more power than LCDs do (this TV supposedly uses less power than most plasmas).

Best Picture Quality, Customer Service is Lacking

Paul Mosier, Amazon
25 July 2010
  • Summary: This TV was purchased just under a year ago and we didn't have any problems with it up until a month ago. The picture is far and away the best I've ever seen. It actually looks noticeably better than my smaller 1080i HDTV. The color is ridiculously brilliant. 1080p movies are amazingly crisp and gaming takes on a new level of realism. If you're looking for THE absolute best picture quality, go with Panasonic.

Great plasma TV for the price

A. Cortez, Amazon
14 April 2010
  • Summary: I purchased this TV to replace a 2 year old 42" Panasonic Plasma TV and I couldn't be happier with the purchase. In fact I had to rearrange my front room to push the TV stand as far back into the corner as possible because the TV is so big it was hurting my eyes. I have always enjoyed plasma technology over LCD for watching movies and especially for playing video games and this TV doesn't disappoint. For the price this TV can't be beat in size or connection options.
