Summary: Bought this set Panasonic TC-P5OS1 Brand New from Best Buy in 2009. Brough it home hung it on the bracket that was sold to me with this Tv. Plugged all wires and cords into it and never had to touch it again except for regular cleaning.. Always used appropriate spray sold to me for this tv set to clean it. This set was never moved, handled or misused in any way. November of 2012 it just Quit Working.
Summary: After having this a year i wanted to plug my laptop into it. I was told when I bought it that i could connect my TV.... However, this TV is not compatible with a computer connection therefore not very versatile.
Summary: First plasma and first TV this size. Picked it up on a Black Friday sell for less $ than an 36" LCD. We all enjoy this tv and it is quite bright even in a bright room. Only downside is the glass / glossy screen. This seems to be the norm now on 90% of the TV's out there. Kind of a pain dealing with reflections. Also this has only 3 HDMI which is a problem for some. I am okay with it.
"Great picture! Will beat any LCD in this price range!"

Pros: -Black levels are amazing; much better than the living room LCD. -Very smooth motion. I am a movie buff and a football fan and I can't stand motion streaking but not to worry with this TV.
Cons: -Speakers aren't great (but what TV has great speakers). I have it hooked to an A/V receiver with floor standing speakers and a sub...amazing. -Panasonic remotes kinda suck but I have a Logitech Harmony, so problem solved.
Summary: This was my first flat panel TV purchase. I did tons of research, LCD vs Plasma, sizes, brands, and settled on this model. The step-up model had THX modes and 1080P/24 support, but was I think $500 more and I didn't think it was worth it. I'm a big fan of plasma, I think the picture has a much warmer/softer look to it, better black levels, although they use more power than LCDs do (this TV supposedly uses less power than most plasmas).
Summary: This TV was purchased just under a year ago and we didn't have any problems with it up until a month ago. The picture is far and away the best I've ever seen. It actually looks noticeably better than my smaller 1080i HDTV. The color is ridiculously brilliant. 1080p movies are amazingly crisp and gaming takes on a new level of realism. If you're looking for THE absolute best picture quality, go with Panasonic.
