Summary: I recently returned my G25 after two weeks of breaking in it... the buzzing noise, which is enough to really take away from video games, or anything with audio pauses, could not be fixed by a technician. According to the tech, neither replacing the boards nor using the spray on foam is a guaranteed solution, and changing the boards didn't help me at all. But many people hear no buzzing whatsoever, so it looks like the tv is a gamble.
Frustrated with order but Amazon handled the return
Brian Legare, Amazon
5 January 2011
Summary: I ordered this TV at the end of November when special offers existed. It was being sold with a 2.1 sound bar which I neglected to put in my cart so Amazon would then take the price off. This was my mistake; however, Amazon did absolutely nothing to help me out. They could not send it to me later (no longer being sold), would not substitute another product, and would not refund me the value of the sound bar ($186).
Summary: This television was GREAT - for 2 hours. Then it made a loud, electronic "pop" sound and stopped working entirely. Ugh. To their credit, Amazon.com did a good job of helping me get a replacement in about a week, though it was not as easy as it could be: They were out of stock on the same model, and the only option they could offer me (that I wanted, anyhow), was the next larger model, though I had to pay extra for it, of course.
Summary: Did a LOT of research online before deciding to buy the G25 about a month ago. With all of the glowing reviews I've read about the picture quality, I was really surprised to find it disappointing. First of all, the good: The colors are amazing - very rich and accurate. And for blu ray movies, the overall experience is outstanding. However, for my personal balance of TV use (maybe 10% movies, 50% TV shows, 40% sports?) it doesn't really stand up.
Summary: I received the set via Pilot freight within a few days of my order. The cardboard packaging was free of any damage, which is a testament to the delivery company Amazon has contracted for my area, although your mileage may vary if you live elsewhere. This is my first large HD set purchase. I was impressed with Panasonic's packaging. The box opens by lifting vertical. Plastic insert handles let you move the box around easily without ripping the cardboard.
Summary: Bought this unit after seeing positive reviews. Amazon delivered perfectly picture is fantastic. Day three -- turn on the unit and unit dies. Ten red blinking lights tells me "Time to chat with Panasonic." Any product can have a problem ... I am interested in how it is handled. The Panasonic answer is ... mediocre to poor. It took two days to hear from Panasonic concierge service <sic> after original call to Panasonic.
