Panasonic TC-PGT25

CNET
4 September 2014
  • Summary: Although it does deliver excellent 2D picture quality, the 3D-compatible Panasonic TC-PGT25 series can't match the overall performance of the competition's best plasmas.
  • Pros: Superb black-level performance; accurate primary colors in THX mode; great color saturation; effective antireflective screen; uses less power than previous 1080p plasmas; VieraCast provides access to select Internet services and improved customization; includes 2D to 3D conversion.
  • Cons: Cannot properly handle 1080p/24 sources; loses some black-level performance over time; introduces artifacts in 3D mode; fewer streaming services and apps than the competition; uses more power than LCDs; does not include 3D glasses.

Panasonic Viera TC-P42GT25

  • Conclusion: The TC-P42GT25 probably has all the competition scared stiff. While it might not have a fancy cabinet and styling and also have slightly lower specs when it comes to contrast ratio, one thing is abundantly clear from this review of the Panasonic TC-P 42 GT25 – Panasonic has hit the 3D nail on its head with the VT25 and GT25 line of Plasma 3D TVs. They definitely provide the best 3D experience out of all the 3D TVs released to date.

Panasonic Viera TC-P42GT25 Review

Digitaltrends
28 December 2010
  • Conclusion: We have no problems whatsoever recommending this 3D HDTV. The price is right—only Samsung has a 50-inch 3D plasma that’s cheaper (PN50C680G5F) as of this writing but it’s not Internet-enabled. The 3D experience—why you’ll buy this particular Viera—is quite good, better than the recently reviewed Sharp LED Quattron. The fact you can get the whole 3D shooting match for less than $2,000 is great news (HDTV, glasses, 3D BD player).
  • Pros: Great price, Excellent 3D, 2D, THX option for 2D, Decent backlit remote
  • Cons: No glasses supplied, No wireless LAN adaptor, Blah styling
