Excerpt: Owned this for almost a year, no regrets. In general, plasma TVs have gotten a bad rap for burn-in and ghost images. On the other hand, this contributes to the fact that plasmas are generally cheaper than LCDs, which makes them a better buy. I have had no problems with burn-in on my 42" Panasonic Viera G10, even when having all-day video game sessions or watching old black and white movies. The picture quality is outstanding.
Excerpt: My husband brought this TV home two years ago. He told me he was buying a new tv, but never once did he say it was going to be a 42in. We have a very small living room, so I was not too happy when he brought the box in (by himself). However, I now wish he had bought BIGGER! I LOVE LOVE LOVE this tv. The picture is beautiful, even two years later. It is super easy to use, even for someone like me that still doesnt know how to turn on the wii.
Excerpt: It's hard to say whether this is a great TV or just an OK TV. I think the problem is that there are just so many choices out there. The best thing you can do is go to the store and look at it next to another TV that you're interested in. Take into consideration that each TV is hooked up to a highly degraded signal since they usually all share the same feed, but it's better than nothing. I would say either get a Panasonic or one of the LG or Samsung LED TVs.
Excerpt: Panasonic's G10 series of plasma television is superior to any other plasma or LCD TV I have had the pleasure to view. It's near top of the line (2nd in line I believe) for their products. The fluidity & clarity of the movements on screen is unsurpassed. Unlike the sometimes choppy movement of fast scrolling pictures on an LCD TV, Panasonic's plasma TV has absolutely none.
Excerpt: The G10 nails it's price point. You get a Neo-PDP display panel, THX and amazing connectivity at a very reasonable price. VieraCast is good - Amazon VOD, Youtube and Picasa. It could use a more fluid interface, and I'm am hoping they add native Netflix or Hulu, but it is nice. All the standard connections in the back and on the side - 3 Total HDMI connections. Lastly, it comes with a THX Video setting, which looks great playing Blu-Ray. Awesome television.
After 2.5 years and paying $1,000, it is broken and unrepairable

Excerpt: After 2.5 years and paying $,1000, this TV is broken and unrepairable. Or at least it will cost as much to purchase a new one as it would to repair it. Very disappointed. Will never purchase from Panasonic again.
Excerpt: We are thrilled with our purchase of this flat panel plasma TV! Prior to shopping for this purchase, we used the internet and educated ourselves on the differences between the LCD and plasma TVs and the general concensus was that plasmas yield a better picture in rooms that are dark. Since we were intending to use this in our bedroom, we tentatively decided on a plasma before we initiated our search.
Excerpt: We were shopping for a tv when the one in my sons room died all of a sudden. We had gift cards for BJ's wholesale and took a look there and ended up purchasing a Philips 46 inch LCD. It looked great while we were in the store but when we got it home after a half hour decided we were taking it back. We hadn't heard about the ghostly images the large LCD tv's are known for. Yuck! There is no way I could watch that without being irritated.
Excerpt: Panasonic Viera TC-P42G10 42 inch HDTV is the media display hub in my house. It has been on almost every waking hour since the purchase One year ago. It serves as Wii, PS3, DVD Pandora, Youtube, and some limited news hub. When connected to quality audio receiver and speakers, the performance rivals more expensive alternative media display. Note this unit was purchased in Feb. 2010 during the famous "Black Issue controversy"-- currently being settled in court.
Love the Panasonic Viera, just don't tell my husband

Excerpt: My husband bought this television earlier this year. I wasn't very happy with the purchase because I was fine with the tv that we had and I wanted to use the money for something else (like putting it toward a new mattress.) However, he had researched tv's extensively & had decided that this was the one that he wanted to get. When he found a great deal on it, he bought it. Our living room isn't very large so I was worried about the size, however, it fits fine.
