Defective TV, display panel problems after only 18 months of operation.

Summary: I bought this TV in July 2012. It was working fine for 18 months when suddenly horizontal lines began forming on the screen and the picture started freezing, although the sound worked correctly. The online Panasonic support, they had me do a hard reset on the TV, which did not work. Then, I hired a local company to do come to my house (at my own expense, because it was out of warranty).
Summary: My panel stopped working within the warranty period. Unfortunately, they don't seem to have any parts to repair it with. Waiting is all I have done, and I paid 1400 for essentially a 11 month TV rental. Look elsewhere.
Summary: This product worked nicely for 2 months. After that I started seeing a black vertical line on the screen that will not go away. I called Panasonic customer service, and so far they have been the worst Customer Service experiences I've ever had. Don't know what I will do next, but someone suggested the BBB which seems like the only option at this point...
