  • Summary: We love this TV! :-) The "smart" features work really well. It was easy to set up. The remote works like a charm. The picture is great, BUT sometimes it's a little tougher to see things clearly when the show films at night. (For example, during episodes of Falling Skies, the night scenes may be tougher to see clearly.) I see another reviewer suggests changing the mode to "light" for dark scenes, so I'll have to give that a try.

Awesome Picture!

  • Summary: UPDATE: This review is for the 42", but most of the following should apply to the 47" model as well. I narrowed my options down to Samsung and Panasonic based on all the reviews I read over the past several months and decided to go with the Panasonic, primarily because of the price and the fact that it came with four pairs of 3D glasses. All I can say is wow! This television has awesome picture quality compared to my 40" Samsung and 32" LG TVs.

  • Summary: My only problem so far has been the inability to select the displayed but unavailable 'Timer' function for use when I'm cooking.

Nice picture once controls are adjusted; best with a sound system.

  • Summary: I purchased this TV after reading Amazon reviews for many brands and models. I chose the 47" TV because it was the largest one that would fit in our available space. And, it just barely fits (no fault of Panasonic, though.) The "Standard" picture is so poor and dim that I cannot understand how Panasonic could ship it that way. On the other hand, the "Game" picture setting is quite good.
