Summary: I've had tv for just over two years and it just broke down. The main board needs to be replaced at a cost of $375. Prior to this, I was very happy with picture and performance, but obviously very disappointed at the short life.
Summary: i purchased a high end tv from panasonic 11 months ago. About a month ago I noticed gray lines stretching across the panel. I called tech support who had me run a series of diagnostic tests. They also asked me to send them a bunch of pictures and my receipt for the tv.
Summary: This TV is great...if you want a nice TV for 2 years. I bought mine 2 years and two month ago and now has horizontal lines on the entire screen. It is insane that one has to buy a new TV every 2 years. No more Panasonic!!!!
Summary: This TV is great...if you want a nice TV for 2 years. Mine was manufactured exactly 2 years ago and now has horizontal lines on the entire screen. I'm not wealthy enough to buy a new TV every 2 years. I was a loyal Panasonic guy but I won't waste my money on another 2 year TV again.
Summary: I bought the Panasonic TC-L55ET5 55-Inch at Frys on 08/08/12 and exactly 1 year and 1 week later there was only sound and no picture. Panasonic offered to extend the warranty for another month and a service company was sent to pull the tv in September and it was determined that the panel was faulty.
Summary: DO NOT BUY THIS TV! I purchased this TV brand new from Amazon and was incredibly excited to upgrade my home television experience. At first everything was great however as they say the true test of a company is how they ha doe an issue.
Update! Lasted 2 years and 2 months now in for repair!
