Summary: Overall a very nice product and everything as advertised. Took away one star as have to buy a wireless panasonic connector extra for it to connect to the internet. That $60 piece should be included or mentioned.
Summary: I love this TV. I became interested in this TV because a great deal came along. I read the reviews and decided to give it a try. I do NOT regret it at all. The picture is very sharp. As everyone else has stated, the sound is horrific. I bought a sound bar and it sounds perfect now. I despise the motion picture setting, but that is easy to switch to low or off. I find that fast moving films or actions don't perform well with this setting. It gets too jittery..
Summary: Have this tv hooked up to an indoor antenna (Mohu leaf) with separate amplifier (PCT) to pick up 5 HD stations in our area. Also have it connected to an Asus RT-N10+ router with dd-wrt setup as a bridge repeater. I haven't used any of the apps with the exception of YouTube where it has problems playing HD videos (always plays fine for the first 10 seconds or so and then appears to have buffering issues from that point on).
Summary: Great TV, excellent price. I was shocked CNET's review of this TV was not better but I'm not looking at top end TVs everyday. I have no problems the picture quality and have yet to see an LCD produce exceptional black levels.
Pros: Price, Picture, Features
Cons: Really at this price ($750 Bestbuy) I have none at this time.
Summary: This review is for the Panasonic VIERA TC-L47E50 47-Inch 1080p Full HD IPS LED-LCD TV. With any TV it is a trade off between price, size and performance. You can get the best performance in any size provided you're willing to pay for it. If not, then there must be some compromises. Amazon has been listening to customer complaints about shipping damage and my set was delivered double boxed in a considerably larger box which had loose cardboard type stuffing.
Let's be honest: a GREAT deal for a "budget" LCD-LED tv!
17 July 2012
Summary: SUMMARY: I have to give this TV "only" 4 stars :). The blacks on it are washed out & shadow detail is not great. BUT this TV is under $800 for 47"! Great deal!! I purchased this TV on June 24, 2012 and chose No-Rush Delivery delivery because I didn't need it right away, and why not get $1 free mp3s? At $749, it was cheaper than any other store online or in-store!! So at this price point, I cannot bring up the complaints that CNET had (2.5 stars, OK rating).
Summary: The picture is great, the sound is mediocre but that wasn't an issue as I have it going to a receiver and 5.1 surround. Why I didn't give this 2-3 stars like other people: Some people have complained about the red light, and I will admit it is distracting at worst. SIMPLE SOLUTION! It's a black frame, Cut a 0.5"x0.5" piece of black electrical tape and cover it...
Summary: I usually prefer plasma for the quality, but since I needed a TV for a bright room, I took a chance on this LED and glad I did. I also considered the Samsung LN46D630, but can't stand the ugly "touch of color" bronze strip on the TV. The picture quality of the Panasonic is nice with some tweaking. The blacks aren't super dark, unless you turn on a black level filter, but that makes the picture too dark and blackens any shadow detail.
