Summary: I purchased the 55" Costco version of this set over the summer while it was still priced at $1,299. I have had a Panasonic plasma since 2009 and have always enjoyed the excellent picture it provides. I was hesitant to go with an LED/LCD after the endless hours of research I had done.
Summary: This is just a partial take on the E50 to complement what others have said. At the outset, I will mention that I am loyal fan of Panasonic, having owned many of their products over the years, including a ten-year-old boom box and a 25-year old VCR that still works! Now on to the E50 . . .
Summary: First of all the TV quality is good. Nothing to complain right now. Probably the brightness is not super high. I was more interested in many fancy technologies it provides when I decided to purchase. However, to make full use of these it cost much more to get the accessories.
Summary: Pro: - Good Picture - Works well with Amazon Instant Video - slim design with lots of inputs Con: - Comes with Banner Ads Enabled. They display randomly when powering up set and changing volume. - Speakers are a little quiet for the size of TV.
Great looking TV, problems connecting PC via VGA cable
James Wallet, Amazon
2 August 2012
Summary: For the price you can't beat this TV! However, when I plug in my laptop via, VGA - VGA, I'm stuck in 1024 resolution! Moreover, display options in Windows 7 do not reveal 1080p as a valid option. My laptop is capable of outputting 1080p. I have a 46" Westinghouse that works like a champ!
Summary: I waited in eager anticipation for it to arrive only to find 2 dents in the back of the panel(you have been warned...this is not packaged well). I was a bit perturbed but thought I'd give it try. The panel is very bright but blacks are not that great as expected.
Summary: Excellent TV for the price. Good picture quality. It was a bit heavy for an LED. Apps are frustrating, working only half the time. In addition, mine came with a dent on the back panel due to the poor factory packaging.
