Summary: I really wanted to love this TV. The TV itself is extremely attractive and the picture was quite good. It's a really thin TV with Netflix very conveniently integrated. About 2 months in, the picture started to become distorted. I called customer support and dropped it off at the repair shop. It's been over 2 months and the replacement part the repair place needs is still backordered. So my TV is 4 months old and it's spent 2 months in the shop.
Summary: This TV Replaced a Samsung UN40EH6000 TV which I liked better and thought I would try something else after accidentally breaking my screen. This TV is great but the Samsung seemed to be a small bit ahead.
Summary: Here are some personal Pros and Cons I've found Pros: -IPS is exactly what you'd expect. Crisp images from every viewing angle. Greatly impressed. -Sometimes I game (XBox 360) on this TV, and there is a noticeable, though very slight, lag due to the IPS technology (5ms is the quoted time). Most of the time it's not apparent, and changing the TV to Game Mode really helps reduce delay and remove artificial enhancements (i.e. "soap opera effect").
Summary: Original TV arrived ,packaged very poorly. Never got it to the point of viewing. Looked as if there was some kind of image inside the viewing screen. Unable to obtain picture or sound. Amazon promptly sent me another ,at no cost to me. I received the second T V within a few days This T V was packaged poorly as well but after easy connection T V works beautifully. I have never been disappointed with Amazons wiliness to correct any problems that occur .
Summary: This is my second VIERA, and it is accurate to say it is because I bought the first one. The picture quality of the the first set, a plasma HDTV, was excellent with vivid colors and true black. It was easy to set up, and easy to adjust. We continue to be blown away by the incredible quality and depth of image when we watch the HD channels. So we bought another one. The deal was on an LED-LCD set, but because of our previous experience, we didn't hesitate.
Summary: Nice TV, just have had for 1 day w/o probs. My only complaint is that there is only "1" Audio Output and it is Digital Audio. I've had to order an active adapter (Dig-to-RCA) and Optical cable to get my older sound system to work (another $23). Also a 'flunky' Components/PC cable (2 non-std mini-conns)comes with it, but a separate interface cable (RCA-to-3.5mm) is needed to hook PC audio up!
Summary: This is a good entry level TV. After some color calibration and adjustment the picture quality is very satisfying for and LED panel. The TV has good viewing angle and a nice array of ports. The sound is decent for a thin panel but nothing special. If you are looking to add a soundbar, be aware that the IR receiver is located at the center bottom of the TV set. It has only about a height clearance of about 2.5" (according to my measurements).
Summary: Couldn't be happier with this tv. Picture is great , simple to set up and with a coupon I paid just under $500. I haven't connected it to the Internet because I just ordered a LAN module from Panasonic. I wanted to find a Japan made tv for under $500 and I did on Amazon!!
