Summary: THIS IS THE PERFECT UNIT FOR OUR PICK-UP CAMPER - CAN RUN ON BATTERY, 12 VOLT OR 110. HAS DVD IN CASE WE ARE IN A REMOTE AREA. THE ANTENNAS PROVIDED AREN'T THE BEST, BUT I HOOKED IT UP TO OUR OUTDOOR ANTENNA AND IT SCANNED IN MORE CHANNELS THAN OUR 32". HAVEN'T HAD A CHANCE TO REALLY CHECK IT OUT ON THE ROAD YET, BUT THINK IT WILL BE AS GOOD AS ANY.
Summary: It will not pick up stations at all with the antena it came with and will only pick up stations with a realy good antena if you are outside. I can see the digital tower from my house and have never had a problem with any of our other tv's. It is only good as a monitor.
Summary: I use this for broadcast TV, and the tuner is pretty weak. I needed an amplified antenna to pull in all the channels, except I still couldn't get a couple. You can't manually add the channel either, which you would have to be able to do to fidget with the antenna to get a station that isn't auto-programmed when the TV scans. Auto scan is the only way to add channels. The picture is good, though! Another quip is the placement of the antenna jack - right on top of the set!
Pros: Attractive Design, Bright Image, Fast Setup, Good Resolution
Cons: Bad Interface, Difficult To Set Up, Poor Connection Options
Summary: Despite the fact that I was told by a J&R salesman at the Park Row store that it wouldn't work with cable, I bought it from Macy's J&R (where at least they said they didn't know whether it would work in Canada (still NTSC)). I got it home to Nova Scotia and within 15 mins had all my basic cable shows up and running. Perfect for a kitchen counter. Only a day old so no idea about long term performance.
Summary: This TV is the perfect size to put next to my pc so I can watch while I work. I put a splitter on my cable so I can connect both the pc and the TV. The picture is pretty sharp (it's not high-def tho!) but the sound is a little tinny. The price was good and overall I am happy with the product.
