Summary: We had a 15" Flat Screen TV with DVD player and it started to fail after 6 years on our Boat. The NAXA TV (with DVD) was almost the same size, it was thinner and weighed less. So it fit on the folding arm that was installed for our original TV. The unit draws about 2amps, about 50% less than the old TV. The sound was reported in other reviews as being tinny.
Summary: This is junk. The dvd player doesn't work and it is only a month old. Someone donated it to the thrift store and as a fool, I bought it for 50.00. It still had the receipt in it. Looks like they moved cross country so couldn't return it to the store even though withing return policy on the receipt. The tv was missing the remote and it is impossible to select yes to are you sure when i try to search for channels on the air.
Summary: Poor quality materials and assembly. Tv less that 3 months old had pieces falling off or apart. DVD would work sometimes and not others then shut off for no reason. Tv screen color would distort then correct it self in the middle of watching on any of the inputs. In the end it even made a poor door stop. Wouldn't recommend any products by naxa after dealing with "customer service" after the screen cracked in the middle of watching a movie.
Summary: The DVD player on this unit is totally worthless (see Amazon reviews too). Mine broke after watching a few DVD, "trays error", would not open or reject DVD. Sent it in under warranty but had to pay for the postage, UPS packaging, insurance, postage ($90). They "fixed" it and finally sent it back.
Summary: DVD player quite working after watching a few DVD, sent it back in while under warranty (still had to pay for UPS packaging and postage/insurance $90) Got it back but had to call after a month and ask where it was. I am a snowbird and only use it 3 months of the year. Put a DVD in and it would not work again after only using in a couple times last April, same thing, tray error.
Summary: I have had this TV for a couple of months, now, and am quite pleased with it. I also have Sony, Panasonic and Philips (2) flat screen TVs, and this one is slightly worse than those with respect to image and sound quality, but still quite acceptable. I purchased this TV because of the ability to run it on 12 volts in the case of an emergency.
Summary: Wanted a small flat screen tv for our travel trailer, this works well. Sound is weak and tinny. pros: wonderful picture, built in DVD player, 12 volt power input; lots of AV inputs/outputs; easy to mount in RV; low power consumption cons: sound quality is poor - still looking for small battery powered speakers with built in amp to use in place of this tv's built in speakers; remote control seems more complicated than it needs to be; scanning for over the air channels...
