Summary: This is my first review on any products from amazon, basically this tv is a tv u must own to actually see the beauty of it don't go off or reviews, first thing first if u decided to order this set u will be amazed by the picture quality ,blows my LG 42 LCD cinema 3dTV out the water, not saying its better than LCD televisions but I can honestly say I want be purchasing any LCD or plasma set anytime soon, watched Avengers (blu-ray) and wow best hd picture I've seen on any...
Summary: This TV is great. Setup and menu operations are much easier than most other brands I've operated. Other reviews mention a slight delay changing channels but not a big deal. Hold down the remotes channel change button and the channel numbers slide past quickly on the screen so you can jump around quickly, a nice feature I have not seen before. The hook ups on the back are just right.
Summary: Ok, I am changing my review as I am now having problems with this television. I bought this in Dec. 2012. Worked great until March 2013, at which time the picture got so dark I could not see anything anymore. I ordered a replacement lamp under warranty, and had it in by the end of the week. Worked great again. Now it is the end of April, and when I turned on my tv for the first time today, the green light came on but no picture.
Summary: I got a great deal on this TV locally. Was very excited to have it home. Great bright picture with better blacks than my LCD (obviously not plasma level). Lots of silk screen effect, but I was willing to deal with it. But I immediately noticed the picture had a heavy bow to it. The geometry was way off. No, not normal RPTV bowing, but like two inches of obvious pin cushion effect.
Summary: This baby arrived safe and sound. I was really surprised at delivery. Clean. The guy unboxed it, we set it up turned it on and connected my Satellite box to it on HD channel. Whoa!! Nice. We then placed it on a stand and I hooked up all my stuff, plus a 3D player. My 3D movies came in, I slipped one in(night time out) and WOW! It was awesome 3D at its best. We watched Avatar and like the jungle jumped out at you. Amazing.
AMAZING COLOR AND CONTRAST THAT LCD/LED TVs CAN'T MATCH!

Summary: All TV technologies have their drawbacks. Plasmas give you great contrast and accurate blacks, but have issues with burn-in, are extremely power hungry, and radiate tons of heat into your living space. LCDs (and LED LCDs) are thin and power efficient, but lack in contrast, producing a dull grey instead of a pure black in dark scenes. They also have issues with fast motion scenes, relying on frame super-sampling and other visual tricks to try and make up for it.
Great TV for you buck, but not without a couple flaws.

Summary: This TV does have an outstand picture, one of the best 1080p pictures I have seen, as well as doing a terrific job with 3D images. Motion blur is virtually non existent from high quality sources such as blu ray (unlike many more expensive LCD and LED sets I have looked at that leave digital garbage all over the screen during fast movement), contrast, color and definition is superb, especially after some simple do it yourself calibration.
Summary: I love this tv. Things to consider before buying large DLP. Do you have a large enough room? Will you be sensitive to the Rainbow effect? For my tv I needed at least ten feet of distance from it. I was sensitive to the rainbow effect, but positioning the tv at a greater distance, turning the brightness down, leaving a light on in the room, or watching wide aspect ratio movies (with a black bar on the top and bottom of the screen) all seem to eliminate the effect.
Summary: Arrived 1st week of June 2012. This TV is HUGE compared to most others I considered. I was worried it might not be bright enough during the day but... YES IT IS!!! Color saturation is also much better than most LCD/LED TVs. Richer colors. Not completely flat - but close enough. Plus the price is much much lower than any flat screen this size (if you can find a flat screen this size, that is).
