Mitsubishi WD-833

  • Summary: The DLP-based Mitsubishi WD-65833 turned in a disappointing performance, especially for the company's flagship rear-projection HDTV.
  • Pros: Reproduces a deep level of black; accurate initial grayscale; detailed color and tint adjustments; great connectivity with a total of four HDMI inputs; attractive design.
  • Cons: Relatively expensive; inaccurate color decoding and primary colors that cannot be fixed using main menu adjustments; noisy video processing; smooth 120Hz mode does not remove judder.

Mitsubishi WD-73833 Review – 73-inch DLP HDTV

20 September 2009
  • Excerpt: . This huge display can be a great attraction to many consumers. There is a unique blue light which illuminates the front display but which can be turned off as well. The speakers are located below the screen and thus you get the impression of an all-picture display. The glossy black finish is good but gives rise to reflections from the screen. The remote available with the set has red backlighting and is small enough to fit in the hands quite nicely.
