Summary: Have had TV about 6 months now. Picture is great. This is not flat screen, but is a rear projection tv. it's still only 18" deep, but can't be mounted on wall. i knew all this before buying so no suprises there. I also like the fact that the color projection system which always goes out on these sets in 10 years are so is made for the consumer to repair at home.
Summary: Pros PRICE Size Quality Sound Weight (not heavy considering its size) Cons START-UP TIME (will take like 20 seconds and an additional 25 seconds till full brightness) Rarely but happened, the screen will go green for no reason, just have to turn off/on and fixes it. Figuring out where it will fit ha ha, can be frustrating. Yes, its that big. This t.v. is beautiful. The picture quality is not bad at all.
Summary: I got this set for my living room which is 18 by 24 feet. Even viewing it from that distance it seems too big. It shows a great Picture but you are not getting cutting edge technology. You can tell by the way the TV takes about 5 seconds to play the next channel. I am using a HDMI cord on Direct TV High def DVR. IT DOES HAVE A DELAY TO CHANGE THE CHANNELS. It shows HD great and the audio is good enough for me.
Summary: I bought this TV because I had a plasma that reflected too much light in the room and the DLP has the matte screen. Coming from a plasma, the picture is a bit of an adjustment. It lacks the vibrancy and depth of a plasma. The adjustments are extremely limited on this set as well making it hard to get the look I was used to. On the other hand, I have come to appreciate that the look I was used to was not natural and that this set has terrific color fidelity.
Summary: I ordered this TV as an upgrade for my 65 in Mitsubishi, which I have had for 2.5 years, and am somewhat pleased with. The DLP picture is a great source of video, and was just as good as what I had seen on the market prior to it's purchase. I have a problem with it dropping pixils at this time, and have been informed that it is a common problem with this brand.
Summary: This is my second Mitsubishi DLP TV. My first one was purchased 4 years ago and was 57". Down side on DLP TV's are if you use them often, about every 2 years you will need to replace the light bulb. I ordered this one from Amazon. I was amazed that the shipping was free and I could pick a time for delivery. The TV arrived on time, and received no damage in shipping. The picture quality in HD via DirectTV is excellent. The screen is HUGH. Sound quality is semi-poor.
Summary: Very nice clear picture on a huge screen. Great price for a TV this size. The picture is not quite as bright or dynamic as my 3 year old Samsung 50" plasma but it is still a very good picture. You also can hear a slight humming coming from the TV if you listen closely. That is not a problem for me since I usually have my stereo hooked up but if you try and hear the humming you will.
