Summary: We have owned this TV for 2.5 years. Up to this point, the TV was perfect and we loved it. Several weeks ago, we had one tiny white dot appear on the screen. Two weeks later we have approximately 60 white dots on the screen. We contacted Mitsubishi to find out what type of problem we were dealing with and after telling them about the white dots, we found out that the parts alone would be over $1,200. to buy (not including the tech to install same.
Summary: I admit I was skeptical when I hadn't heard of a DLP before, But this TV at 73" and at this price, is well worth it and much Better than any Plasma or LCD I've had. I like it even better than my 52" LED TV in the bedroom (which cost a fortune waaaay more than this one) because that extra 21" makes a huge difference. Especially for football games!
Summary: I was very skeptical that this size TV in this price range could be any good. I received the TV very fast and it was very well packed. I set it up and was ready to be disappointed. The picture quality is surprisingly good. It is not as good as a smaller LCD when watching regular TV but it is very good. Football looks great. Bluray movies are fantastic.
Don't be a fool by buying LCDs for gaming and big screens.

Excerpt: I bought the Mitsubishi WD73638 after reading a lot about LCD technology. I couldn't see a particular value in buying LCD unless you wanted to hook the TV up to a computer and use the TV as your monitor. I looked at plasma TVs after that and the technology was much improved (less image retention for one) but the screen sizes still didn't run quite as big as I wanted and they were just as expensive as LCD TVs.
Summary: Expect to spend hundreds in blown bulbs - starting the first year. Expect to purchase a new TV in 3-4 years. Mine is 4 years old and has over a thousand bright white pixels. Looks like a constellation - better think again before you buy the DLP technology.
Summary: The TV is an excellent value compared to tv's of comparable size. The color is bright and sound is clear. We had no difficulty with setup to our cable system. The light-weight made it easy to move onto our television stand despite it's size. The seller provided prompt and courteous service. I would recommend both the product and this seller for future transactions.
Summary: I was all ready to buy one of these when I came across this website of Mitsubishi complaints. Even though most had purchased their Mitsubishi TV over a year or more ago, read the identical problems they all shared. From overwhelming white dots to the early replacement of the $150 bulb not long after a purchase. [...
Summary: After we placed the order for the Mitsubishi 73 inch TV, we received a call from Chris Shatto with guide lines and delivery information. Not only was he very personable, he was helpful in answering all my questions. He providing me with information that helped with the set up when the TV arrived. Chris also instructed us on the steps to take to protect us in the event the TV would arrive damaged. Every day we received an email tracking the location of our TV.
Summary: I bought this TV almost a year ago. I am still amazed at the picture quality. I was told that I would have to replace the bulb about once a year because it would start to dim out a bit, but I just replaced it and there is no difference at all (no dimming). This is by far the best investment I have made when it comes to electronics. The only bad thing about this tv is the sound quality.
