Great purchase. Just replaced lamp after almost 4 years of heavy use.
21 April 2014
Summary: Very pleased with my purchase. Four years of heavy use. Just replaced lamp for the first time. Still sharp as ever. Was getting a little dim and a few other issues before the lamp burnt out but now I know why. Lamp was a breeze to replace. Have had no issues since I changed lamp.
Summary: I bought this November 2009, and still haven't needed to replace the bulb. Granted, I changed the picture settings from the default "Brilliant" to "Natural" and turned down the brightness some, because it looked too intense before. I heard that default picture settings tend to be that way to jump out at you in brightly lit stores, but that more toned down settings look better at home.
Excerpt: I paid only $1200 for this on Amazon and it is even cheaper now. I love this television. It barely fits in my room, but who cares! The bulb takes about 200 hours to break in before it can really produce good brightness and colors. It has its own built in fan for keeping it cool. The television is a lot lighter than my 47'' lcd. Honestly it makes sense since a DLP is mostly all hollow air space inside.
Excerpt: We got this tv about 4 years ago when we moved here. When my best friend hooked his xbox to it, I was nervous. When I was in middle school my Grandparents bought a projection tv and us kids snuck video games on it when they weren't around and broke it. My best friend told me it's an HDMI tv, and it won't do the same thing. I looked it up, what Texas Instruments technology has done for big screen tvs, and I told him it was ok.
Excerpt: we have bought a mitsubishi wd-65c9 65 in hdtv dlp tv. Yes the dlp was expensive but I have a son who is visually impaired and he has some visibility but not a lot and he can accually see the screen. The hd channel are so cool when watching football it looks like your at the football stadium. the mitsubishi is a very respected tv by our intire family now after bying this one.
Excerpt: me and my husband finally made the move to go from a 42 inch to a 65 inch and after searching in stores like walmart and target i went to sears they had a 60 inch but not the 65 inch so we keep looking around finally i just went online and typed it in and for around our location and when be got the tv we knoticed the biggest and best tv we have ever seen picruse is awesome sound could be a lot better for the large size of the screen we use our cheap theater system so...
Excerpt: i bought on sale for cheap since the newer models came in. Great brand and Great picture! very surprisingly convenient with the mitsubushi stand we purchased with it and doesnt seem to take up much space. only downfall is that its not a flatscreen so we cannot hang it on the wall.
Excerpt: We just love this tv last xmas eve our old tv broke and we always wanted a bigger tv the kids are always gamming it so we went with this tv and all I can say is wow I just love watching tv now it is worth the money for sure
Summary: I've had this less than a year and nothing but problems. The size/price are great but the reliability is awful. Mitsubishi fixed it once under warranty but it took countless calls, two visits by a repairman and weeks of waiting. The picture is good and I love the size but I will never buy a Mitsubishi or rear projection TV again. Buy a smaller TV or spend more on a Vizio or something.
Summary: Bought this through amazon from comp usa - Comes on a semi for delivery, which he had to park about a 1/4 mile away and dolly it to my house. was packed well no problems fired right up. Picture seems to improve over a few days, either it breaks in or your eyes adjust to it. I spent a good month researching and looking at 100's of TV's. This was the most I could get for the money, looks as good as anything else out there.
