Bad TV only made worse by Mitsubishi's awful customer service. - A must-avoid!
17 July 2014
Summary: I had a really bad experience with this TV and with Mitsubishi in general. The TV worked well for close to a year and then developed problems due to a warping screen. Mitsubishi sent an incompetent technician who took the TV, failed to repair the problem and gave it back to me with dead pixels! After many months, Mitsubishi exchanged it for another model of the same line... Same problem!
Summary: I have had this TV for over 3 years now and it is still a bargain. I purchased it for around 800 and it looks as good as any LCD TV, has better sound, and was a fraction of the price. Bulbs last a very long time! Exceptional value. Update 06/2013.. TV destroyed by power surge. Nobody repairs TVs anymore and it ended up being a 65 inch piece of uselessness. Make sure you get a good surge protector.
Summary: and in this case its a win-win for both, the price is so right for the size!!! no thats not right b/c then it sounds like its ok size but believe me you are not compromising with this 65 inch in anyway! IT FREAKIN HUGE!! words cant describe. but go 3d all the way our the color isnt as great as a led out the box. meaning set it up to a blu ray. or ps3 or any other 3d receiver by onkyo so you get the full effect. and the 3d glasses of course.
Summary: This is a great TV, I've had it for a year and it has always worked well and had a great picture. Too bad these DLP's are so hard to come by these days...for the price they really are a great value.
Summary: OMG! First off, I couldn't believe how BIG this thing actually is!!! My house is a house full of GUYS! We have a "MAN CAVE" downstairs and this just absolutely finished it off! There's a ping-pong table, an air hockey table, a Foosball table, X-box 360 with that silly bar that makes YOU the remote controller & a PS 3 or what ever it's called. But playing those game-systems on a "Normal-sized" TV just didn't cut it since the room is about 15 feet long!
Summary: TV has a very nice picture, and unlike the older projection TV, this one views well at different angles and at different heights. For example, you can lay on the floor, or stand off to the side and still get a decent picture. It's also much brighter than the older projection TV's, much lighter weight and thinner. The great thing about these TV's is the price.
So far, excellent. Dramatic picture and good sound.

Summary: I hope to update this review later with more details. This is the first impression after using the WD-65638 for 36 hours. It was received yesterday morning and has been in nearly continuous use by all family members. We are using this with a Panasonic wi-fi enabled blue ray player which was purchased at the same time. The first item to view was a Blue Ray disc by BBC (Yellowstone). The vivid picture and colors are as good as I could ever imagine - perfect.
Summary: This is my 3rd Mitsubishi DLP 3D Set: My First was the WD-52631, Then a C9 60", Just bought the WD-65638 about 2 weeks ago. As you can tell, I have and yes I will come back to Mitsubishi again. The Value to Size Ratio is the best on the market. Its a good reliable set and have had only one problem with the C9 that they took care of to my satisfaction quickly, and thats about 6 years of Mitsu TV's.
