Summary: These televisions have a known problem with the DMD chip. Over time, the chip will make white and black dots appear on the screen. Mitsubishi knew about the issue but sold the televisions anyway. Subsequently they offer to replace the chip for free but the consumer must pay a service fee of $200.
Summary: I bought this almost 2 years ago. After the first year a little white dot showed up in the bottom left corner of the picture. As of today I have 19 white dots most of them are in the center of the picture.
Summary: I own the previous version of this set. The wd-60735. After only 18 months, the set powered down with a LAMP error. Replacement of the lamp ($100) revealed that the Ballast board (PN 938P127010) was also bad. According to Mitsubishi Parts Dept this part is in stock for $57.60.
Summary: Never ever buy any kind of mistubishi tv. Why? Just do a search. You will find literally hundreds of people complaining about the same things and these things aren't petty. The first thing you might find is that the bulbs don't last very long, or sometimes even for a little while.
Summary: I purchased this TV on the 11th of June. The interaction with Amazon & the shipping company was excellent. However, when the TV arrived and I plugged it in, it turns on for about 30 seconds, I can hear sound, but no picture. The TV then shuts itself off.
