Five years ago I purchased a LOEWE MODUS LCD TV.
The TV broke down after two years (while under warranty). I took it to Loewe's lab, and it took them one month to "fix" the problem. But the problem, which happens only at Summer time, showed again.
During the subsequent years, the problem returned every summer without willingness from the company to take responsibility for the product.

After the massive pressure that included several months of correspondence with company representatives in Germany, they agreed to replace my TV with a new LOEWE XELOS LED screen, under a participating fee.

The new screen broke down after just one week! It just shut down after a week and did not turn on since!

I would expect better customer service, and quality control, from a company which charges such a high prices for It's products.
I'll never buy even one of a Loewe's products again!

High in features, looks and price, the Loewe Xelos A26 has almost everything the discerning consumer is looking for in a HD flat screen television. With clean lines and a hint of elegant sophistication, the unit has panache even when turned off.

It offers the view a full range of connections including the techno savvy HDMI feed as well as a variety of video inputs. With excellent resolution, the Xelos sports an HD compatible 1366 x 768 native pixels of viewing pleasure. It also provides two Scarts and, an increasingly necessary, PC input port. Couple this connectivity with a plethora of onboard features and you have a winning combination.

On the downside, the menus can be difficult to get through with any amount of brevity. Additionally, the unit does not have the capability to add on wireless lighting control or HDD recording options.

With a hefty price tag, one would expect exceptional picture performance. The Loewe Xelos does not disappoint. The unit boasts a larger than life picture with astounding clarity and resolution. It has a vibrant color quality and an excellent ability to handle high levels of motion with out blurring or smudging the picture. The unit does, however, disappoint slightly with regard to its ability to show clarity in extremely dark pictures, with a tendency to provide a low detail graying effect in black levels. The Xelos also has an excellent sound quality, with speakers that could rival any theater’s hi-fi system.

While the Loewe Xelos A26 may be a bit on the costly side, it more than accommodates its price point with winning combination of great looks and all the technological brawn.
