The LG Infinia PK750 is a plasma TV that is designed in single layer design and features wireless capabilities, NetCast (for streaming services that includes Skype, Netflix, VUDU, YouTube, Napster DivX and Yahoo Widgets), network connection, DLNA and Wireless Media Hub. The PK750 also feature 600Hz Sub-Field Driving, a protective “Skin Glass,” Dual XD Engine and a TruBlack.

Features

The LG Infinia PK750 is a plasma TV designed in a single-layer panel with a bezel width of 0.9-inches. The unit features THX Display Certification. This means that the HDTV has the ability to provide users with the correct gamma, luminance, and color temperature. This recreates cinema experience at home. The HDTV includes the “THX Bright Room” setting which optimizes the contrast, gamma and other settings for watching movies in rooms with a lot of ambient light. Another feature is the 600Hz Sub-Field Driving which optimizes moving picture response time using a 10 sub-field per frame driving process, ultimately offering consumers a clearer picture. The Protective Skin Glass system reduces the gap between the outer glass and filter by 70 percent, and eliminates double imaging and reduces glare. The Dual XD Engine facilitates up-conversion of standard definition content to near high-definition quality, allowing users to enjoy optimized image quality and color reproduction. The TruBlack Filter on the TV reduces ambient light reflection, providing users with darker black levels and optimizing contrast and detail for the picture in a bright room. The NetCast feature on the PK750 gives users access to an array of online content options such as Skype™, Netflix™, VUDU™ for an extensive library of movies and TV titles, including a catalog of more than 2,000 high-definition movies; YouTube™, Napster™ and Yahoo! Widget Engine™ that enables access to various applications called TV Widgets that allow users to interact with Internet services and online media through applications which can be tailored to the needs of the watcher. The plasma TV also incorporates Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA) technology that allows users to access content stored on other DLNA-certified devices within the home, such as computers. Other features on the PK750 include wired Ethernet jack, optional USB wireless broadband adaptor (sold separately), support for multi-media playback from a connected USB device including photos (JPEG), music (MP3) and video (DivX HD), and “Wireless Media Hub” capability from up to 98 feet that lets users connect source components, such as Blu-ray Disc players, cable or satellite boxes and video games to a compact receiver adaptor which is then attached to the back of the TV and eliminates the need for individual components to be connected directly to the TV. The PK750 also supports Picture Wizard II technology, which provides on-screen reference points for key picture quality elements, such as black level, color, tint, sharpness and backlight levels; ISFccc calibration options that calibrates the unit to the level of calibration filmmakers intended viewers to see; Intelligent Sensor which automatically calibrates and optimizes brightness, contrast, white balance and color, based on the brightness and color temperature of lighting in the room; Clear Voice II which customizes volume settings by 12 distinct voice zoom levels without diminishing other surrounding sounds, optimizing dialogue during action sequences and AV Mode II which includes three AV modes preset to optimize picture and sound settings based on Cinema, Sports or Game content.
