Summary: I bought it for good price at local store (US$1890, Jan 2011). Great bright picture, excellent upscaling SD formats, specially with signals from cable or air.(i think much better than Leds or LCD) Read mkv direct. Doesn't offer DTS out with its own optical output, if I play a dts movie to the tv with hdmi and connecting tv optical out to the receiver it mutes.
Summary: I bought my 60PX950 2 weeks before last Christmas and it's about 6 months I'm using it. The screen of this TV is amazing and I really enjoy the color and quality of pictures. The sound is good but I bought a LG sound bar with wireless sub woofer and now the sound quality is perfect also.
Summary: This TV lives up to the hype but is probably no longer available. We got this one from a marketplace seller, open box. The new ones use polarization instead of shutters for the glasses and so the glasses are cheaper.
Summary: This is truly one of the best tv's on the market if not the best. It is crystal clear, beautiful color, with all the features. The sound quality is the best, I am enjoying the nba play offs, I feel I am there. The shipping was also great, the carton comes with sensors that will change color if the carton was mishandled. Thanks, Eugene Bartlett, Tn.
Summary: After flawlessly doing the second wireless upgrade on this set. I have to say, it definitely has the WOW! factor. Friends are amazed at the clarity of the screen and the sharpness of the picture. 3D I finally viewed and I want to just reach out and grab things. It is amazing! Love it love it love it! The wireless internet is fantastic and fun too.
Summary: Great purchase experience from OneCall. Arrived on time and in good shape. Tv fired right up and no issues. The wireless USB stick setup like a charm as well. Apps are a little wonky but Netflix streaming is working fairly well (couple of issues dropping the connection with the app but network never hiccuped (wireshark running on a spanned port). Picture on this tv is stunning! Bluray and DVD content looks great and gran tourismo 5 PS3? Fagetabouit!
Summary: Recently purchased the LG to add to a home theater system. I am very pleased with the picture. Regarding sound quality, since I have the audio going through a component system, it is of no matter. I would recommend this TV. However, please note that delivery of the TV took much too long. I purchased the TV on January 12th, and was on the telephone the Friday prior to the Superbowl Game (Feb. 4th) attempting to have the same delivered.
Summary: It has now been almost 2 months since my purchase of this TV. I have tested every aspect of it and it meets or exceeds my expectation. My choice was between the Panasonic Viera 50" and this one. I am happy with this LG 60".
Summary: I purchased this TV per Consumer Reports recomendation. I also purchased the very expensive 3-d glasses. I have repeatedly tried and failed to get any sort of 3-d viewing experience. The users guide is confusing to say the least. The end result is frustration and a headache. In short - picture is fantastic - the internet access tools are great - the 3-D blows.
Summary: Received TV four days ago. It looks great and was easy to wall mount using the VideoSecu wall mount ([...]) sold by Amazon. I wasn't a huge fan of the pre-set picture options so I used their built-in picture wizard and I'm impressed with the realistic picture that the wizard helped me achieve. For some reason this TV is fluctuating wildly in prices (as of January 18th 2011). Currently it's going for about $2,400 but it's been as low as $1,700.
