Summary: Ordered this TV in March, after much research on large-screen plasma TVs. A couple of other brands/models had better reviews but were unavailable due to it being the end of the TV model year. This model in the LG plasma line was rated second to one that was unavailable, but still had very high marks - and a lower price. I decided to give it a go. My wife (the real TV addict in the family) and I are very pleased that we made this choice.
Summary: Excellent product for the purchase. First, the cost was much cheaper than any other company reviewed (12 total). I found the description and detailed options very extremely accurate. The picture and color are very crisp and the only complaint would be some channels that aren't broadcast in HD seem somewhat fuzzy, MTV especially. Set up was very easy and simple and the connection to internet was quick.
Summary: This is a very nice looking TV. Not the best picture quality of some of the other plasma's that I have seen, but not bad by any means. For the price, you really can't beat it. Tons of features and was delivered without a single blemish. Looks great and super easy to set up. The only thing I would like to have seen better was the picture quality. Blacks not great and didn't have "true motion".
Summary: I have always seen LG as a value brand, not a bargain brand but just a really good value. I have had Panasonic plasmas until I purchased this unit a few months ago. I love everything about the tv from the styling to the internet features it's a great set. The only things I don't like about it is the black levels are lacking in every way.
Summary: So far so good ..bought this tv because of size..60" has nice big viewing..it's like being there with people or looking thru window and seeing things in reality. Too bad not all stations are not in HD program. Just few for now anyway. Programing and definding the right sharp ,color picture you like takes time and searching. And seem's to me that color define himself later after you set it up.satisfy now with all of it.
Summary: I have had this TV for about 30 days now and am overall pleased with the features and overall look of the TV. Prior to this TV I had a 42" Plasma that was 720 the picture from the cable box was a lot better on the 720, but when you have a full 1080p movie playing in the new TV there is no comparison. So if you have poor input signal you TV will not look as good as a TV with a lower screen resolution. The sound is not the best that it could be.
Summary: Did the the ridiculous level of research and narrowed it down to LG & Samsung plasma. Have a wide long room requiring many viewing angles. The TV itself is setting on an corner stand. The view is spectacular from all angles. BUT have had issues with the very top line of the screen. While watching the news NBCHD I will occasionally see very thin white lines at the top of the screen. Not sure if its TV or broadcast related.
Summary: If I purchased this TV based on the current information available, both on Amazon and LG's website, I might give this TV a better review. That being said, I am extremely disappointed that I researched and reviewed and came to the conclusion that this TV was the best purchase for me based on advertised features. Those features that were advertised, but not really available were the TruBlack filter as well as Skype availability and being 'wireless internet ready'.
