Summary: I put in an Ethernet line to the TV while the room was under construction so I have amazing network speeds on this set, streaming video from VUDU or Netflix in HD is not a problem (based on ISP as well obviously). I would recommend this set all day long.
Pros: Great Price, 60" TXH certified, awesome refresh rate and blacks. Fast Shipping. Easy to Setup. Internet Apps update automatically, new ones added over time. Single pane of glass so it is stunningly good looking TV.
Cons: This TV is in a windowless basement theater room, so it looks great, but there is still some glare on it at times from the can lights in the ceiling.
Summary: This is a very nice looking TV. Not the best picture quality of some of the other plasma's that I have seen, but not bad by any means. For the price, you really can't beat it. Tons of features and was delivered without a single blemish. Looks great and super easy to set up.
Summary: I have always seen LG as a value brand, not a bargain brand but just a really good value. I have had Panasonic plasmas until I purchased this unit a few months ago. I love everything about the tv from the styling to the internet features it's a great set.
Summary: The sound is decent enough for only having 2 10-watt speakers, but make sure you leave a little room between the wall and the TV. Otherwise, I think the sound will sound muffled as the speakers are in the back. If you have an external receiver with speakers, you will not have to worry about it.
Pros: For color comparison, I watched Speed Racer on Blu-Ray because although it is not a great film (it's ok acting-wise, plot, etc...), how vibrant the colors were as well as the amount of color is why I chose that movie for review. I was blown away by how rich the color environment while utilizing t...
Cons: The whites are pretty dull if you are looking at the screen when mostly white is on the screen. My 22" computer monitor (LCD of course) has better whites. I only really noticed this when certain commercials came on, but since 95% of the time I am not watching commercials with white backdrops, I d...
Summary: I have had this TV for about 30 days now and am overall pleased with the features and overall look of the TV. Prior to this TV I had a 42" Plasma that was 720 the picture from the cable box was a lot better on the 720, but when you have a full 1080p movie playing in the new TV there is no...
Summary: We have this backed up to stairs, so you can see all 4 sides of it. I tried to talk her into a thinner LED screen, but for some reason, she loved this one. Hooked up to a Media Center Extender (DMA2200) and wired ethernet.
Pros: Beautiful picture and decent feature set, internet connection, can play videos from a USB device, easy setup.
Cons: Its thick and heavy compared to today's LED screens, and the back is not very attractive with vents, holes and circuitry visible through them. Also, the speakers must face the back because it is louder from behind than the front.
Summary: Did the the ridiculous level of research and narrowed it down to LG & Samsung plasma. Have a wide long room requiring many viewing angles. The TV itself is setting on an corner stand. The view is spectacular from all angles. BUT have had issues with the very top line of the screen.
