Summary: Lots of issues with this POS. Sounds like others have them as well. First off, touch-button design is terrible. When the thing was working it was very spotty. Now the touch-buttons won't work, the remote won't work, and the volume is stuck on max. This renders the TV essentially useless. There is no way to access any features to attempt to trouble shoot.
Summary: I will start by saying we absolutely loved this TV while it lasted. We've had this for just over 3 years. We paid more than a pretty penny for this TV when it first came out, plus the 3d glasses. We are about a month over our 3 year warranty and half the screen no longer works. Straight line right down the center vertically. The idea that such an expensive TV should need to be replaced in this time frame makes me sick to my stomach!
Summary: This is one of the nicest Televisions that I have ever owned. The 3D plays great, the picture can be changed to individual taste, it also runs through the suround sound with no problem. The only draw back is charging the glasses, if you forget it takes about an hour to get them going.
Great 2010 LG Product if you can still get one at a Fair price for 2013

Summary: Three years with this wonderful 3D set by LG and no regrets. It does need the active 3D Glasses and does not have all the high end apps of the 2013 model smart tv's but it has served me well. It does have VUDU, cinema now, Netflix, crackle, and several others.....but Roku covers the gaps. LG 3D blu ray player also purchased at that time is still going strong as well.
Summary: I have this set for about 2 years, it still has the same picture quality and has not given me any problems. My only regret is that It Has 3D which I have not used since Day 1, If I had to do it over I would not buy a 3D TV, and svae a little money.
Summary: This magnificent creation was one of the best purchases I have ever made. The 240 Hz LED Plus took some getting use to as the color and the picture is so sharp you have to learn to watch TV all over again. I never realized how much detail I was missing out on with the conventional TV's. The LG 55LX6500 55-inch 3D 1080p is the Cadillac of TV's. Get you one today.
Amazon services are excellent- However LG TV IS WORST
6 February 2012
Summary: I bought the 55LX6500 from Amazon back in February 2011. I was very pleased with Amazon services. The merchandise delivered on time and set up on my family room. Amazon rating is 5 stars. The TV set arrived with perfect conditions. It worked find until a few days ago. The left portion of the LED monitor was white out. The TV broke after 12 months ( 3 days short of the warranty period) and on the day of the Super Bowl party at home which was cancelled.
Summary: After reading many reviews on many models and understanding the 3D passive vs Active this was the best bang for the bucks. Bright, excellent viewing angles, internet ready (requires extra wifi dongle), zero problems with fast objects at 240Hz, powers up fast and changes channels quick, swivel base, 4 HDMI hookups, many other hookup options, digital optical out,3D... WOW! better than theaters and if I do say so we (my entire family) are big 3D theatre fans.
