Summary: Bought this TV a couple of years ago and am still very pleased. I bought this TV specifically for movies and college football and am proud to say that it is 2/2 for us in National Championships (RTR)! Picture is great, bright and sharp.
Pros: Big TV, great picture, great features, thin, lots of inputs, smart TV with lots of features
Cons: LG App store will never hit the big-time, but thats not really a big deal. Has all the most popular apps already.
Summary: With so many reviews for this tv already here and other places, I'll keep this short and to the point. The price on this tv is GREAT right now, which was the big reason I went for it. A passive 3d, led lcd, wifi ready 55 inch tv for under 1500? That's a pretty good deal.... Setup: Pretty easy.
Summary: The first thing that struck me when I unboxed my 55LW5600 was how thin it is. I was replacing a Toshiba 52XV545U and flat panel technology has improved greatly since 2009. I was almost afraid to lift it. :) But when I did, I was struck by how solid and well-constructed the panel itself feels.
Summary: I defy someone to find a another TV with these specs for a similar price. I know specs are one thing and real world performance is another. Well, let me tell you, this TV lives up to the expectations. Heck, it even exceeds them. I've noticed that some have complained about the lack of apps.
Summary: This TV is very good to excellent. If you want 3D, this is the best choice since the glasses are inexpensive and less fatiguing than active glasses. Some will argue that active has a better picture quality but I would have to disagree that it is enough of a tradeoff not to go with this model.
Summary: Someone gave this TV 1 egg because they bought the TV for the SmartTV functions. This TV is much more than a SmartTV, if you want to use the internet, buy a laptop or desktop computer. Another person was mad about the CEVA delivery. I had a great experience with CEVA.
Pros: HUGE!! I didn't think an upgrade from 42" to 55" would be that major but this this is big! Looks great, great picture, awesome 3D even when gaming. Google search some calibration setting, makes the picture look even more impressive.
Cons: Speakers are pretty sad. I think my wifes laptop speakers are better. Make sure you have a AVR or your wasting your money.
Passive 3D is much better then active, and this TV is great at it

Summary: Honestly I think this is the first review I've ever written on Amazon for a product. I normally buy and just let it go. But this TV has impressed me so much that I thought I'd at least put my two cents out there for others. I ordered it for a great price on here.
Summary: Ok I just got my USED (from amazon warehouse deals) 55" LG 3D tv and let me start by saying WOW!!! Never in my dreams did I think passive 3D could be this good. First off Amazon did a superb job shipping this TV it came right on time as said and they even trough in white glove service at no xtra...
Summary: Let me start by saying I am definitely a little biased towards the LG brand itself. I have a smaller, older version that has been amazing to me. So when I decided I wanted to upgrade to a larger TV and one that had the 3D feature, I knew I wanted an LG brand.
Summary: People say that passive 3d halves the resolution from 1080p to 540p. The thing i dont understand is that i just finished watching 3d HD movies and footage and it looks 1080p to me. I am sorry but on paper maybe that is true but in MY OPINION the quality is spectacular.
Pros: *Excellent picture *Descent smart t.v apps *Able to stream HD movies in 1080p from my PC along with surround sound using plex media server/client *Thin *Excellent 2d HD quality *Excellent image when connected to PC
Cons: *Sound quality poor *Does NOT pass through surround sound from HDMI input to optical output on the back. *Using the remote control/WAN is kind of difficult when browsing the internet using the T.v(standalone). Five us the option to use a keyboard or mouse
