Excerpt: I bought this LG TV to replace our long lived but broken Samsung 55" DLP Great Room TV. I agonized hard between this LG and its near equivalent Samsung 55 incher. The LG came out on top, but there was no overwhelming reason in making this choice.<br /><br />The DLP is dated technology but one of its advantages was the peripheral view and that the screen didn't fade out in a bright room.

Summary: This TV is beautiful and has the most splendid picture. I looked and shopped around for several months. I compared, watched prices, and waited. This is truly an awesome TV. The setup was easy, programming was simple and all the connections are easy to reach and plug. My only regret is not buying 2 of them.
Summary: I purchased this for my husband as a gift and HE LOVES IT! The mouse like remote did take a while to set up and get used to but once you do it makes things so much easier. Very easy to use. My husband is completely happy with it and he is a tough critic when it comes to electronics .
