Summary: Terrible design. Just so we are all clear, I am that stubborn kind of husband who will buy new furniture to fit the horrible stand design this TV has rather than admit I was wrong and that it really does need at least 50" of straight and open space to stand up.
Summary: I ordered this based on the reviews and was worried about some of the 1 star reviews, when I turned on the tv there was a huge crack on the screen, I had a sad feeling when I opened the item and the styrofoam was already cracked.
Downside for Chromecast users & those without soundbars
30 September 2014
Summary: The Good: - The new look is stylish - Great price for the large size screens - Picture quality is on par with Vizio/Sharp The Bad: - No Smart TV functionality (not a big deal if you use Chromecast) - However, if you use Chromecast, the LG TV's version of CEC (Simplink) will not auto switch Inputs...
Summary: I'm not sure where these 5 Star reviews are coming from as they sound pretty fake. First TV arrived with three regions of stuck pixels (stuck at blue and red, green seemed dead). Amazon was helpful and sent a replacement but that one arrived with a pretty visible dead pixel.
Summary: I am developing carpal tunnel from all my clicking on these phony one and two word reviews (all 5 stars) who have never reviewed any other product. Its obviously done to inflate the average rating. Please help by rating this one star to discourage this manipulation.
this screen has extremely poor uniformity and obvious screen banding issues
Arjun S. Kahlon, Amazon
5 December 2013
Summary: As others have mentioned, this screen has extremely poor uniformity and obvious screen banding issues. The picture itself looks great, no question. However, once I turned off the lights to watch a movie, I noticed a giant white spot dead center in the display.
LG 55 Inch Rainbow Reflection...Not a good thing...
15 April 2013
Summary: I just returned my 55 inch LG LS4500 because of rainbow color reflection problems caused by light bulbs in the living room...Visited HH Gregg and shined a flashlight on all of their LG LED televisions. All have the same problem...I contacted LG customer service.
Summary: I just bought this TV and I'm extremely disappointed in the fact that I don't see the "soap opera" / TruMotion in the picture. This is supposed to be LED 120 Hz... am I missing something? I'm hoping I'm just dumb and did not do something right, but I changed the HDMI cable, etc.
