Summary: Right TV for the right room makes all the difference. The TV has a glossy screen, but in a room that does not recieve a lot of natural light it's not an issue. I would recomend this TV to anyone in this price range!
Pros: Excellent picture quality with deep blacks and quick response times, makes this one of the more impressive flat screens I have ever owned. Side note, wasn't expecting it to be thin, but it is pretty slim!
Cons: TV stand not the greatest, but by no means flimsy. The residual burn is not permament ( got me nervous at first) and using the eco button to turn off the backlight can ease your nerves if you are worried about it.
Cons: I'm giving only 2 stars because of the wireless options - royally sick of companies requiring their overpriced dongles for their TVs, when any $20 usb adapter should work fine. Ridiculous and without merit. This is a good TV, but LG needs a kick in the pants about the $80 wi-fi add-on, when it sh...
Summary: From what the technician told me allot of these models that first come off the assembly line had some mainboard problems causing the video to go out. I did not buy it from NewEgg and paid less than $1,000 for it with 2 pair free 3-D glasses.
Pros: It's a wonderful Plasma TV. 1:3 Millionth contrast is really nice. The color black is velvet smooth. 3-D is amazing with the LG 3-D glasses. Very thin frame and back. Lots of USB and HDMi ports. Also has dual Component out. All around gorgeous picture.
Cons: after 7 months the mainboard in mine died. A quick call to LG support and they had a local technician out the next day. The board had to be ordered so no TV for about 4 days. Technician was friendly and very nice and got the board replaced and now its working again. This tv does put out some heat...
Summary: The plasma burn... I know its not burning in the TV, but even after that 100 hour test thing you do (forgot what its called) after every movie with bars on top or the sides, or im using the computer or something for a while, it burns in the TV for a while.
Pros: Everything! the picture quality is amazing! I was having doubts with the 3D since Ive never seen a 3D TV up close except once at best buy. The 3D is more than I was excpecting!
Cons: The only thing, which I knew before I bought it, and so should everyone else before buying... The plasma glare... It is true that its like a 50" mirror. But since I was already expecting this, it doesnt bother me much at all.
Summary: LG warranty is currently replacing it, but it's been 2 weeks since I sent in the claim. Right now the part to fix the TV is not in stock and I have to wait 10 days to get a new TV from them. I also have a LG LED TV. It's been over a year now and it works great.
Pros: Inexpensive. Netcast is cool. Lot's of HDMI inputs. Light. Thin. Decent Colors, not the best.
Cons: Glare. I died after 1 month. The stand sucks. Plan on mounting this thing on the wall or the kids will knock it down.
Summary: Nice low profile bezel. Plethora of picture tweaking options including a picture wizard that's pretty sleek. Internet capable with a couple of apps, including YouTube and Picasa which my gf has a zillion pics on and we can use as a virtual picture frame while music plays, or to show the latest kid...
Pros: I just got this TV today (4/22/11) so the impressions are EXTREMELY fresh, but this thing has pretty much every thing you want in a TV including a killer price for what you get. (I paid $1049 w/ free shipping and 2 free sets of glasses on 4.19/11 and I have the TV today, 4/22/11, telling you how ...
Cons: I'm hard pressed to call out a con on this TV. The glasses require a 2 hour charge before they work? That'd be pretty weak to call a con... The shipping would be the only thing I think... I had to go pick it up at the shipper to avoid having to let it sit in their warehouse until Tuesday, but I w...
Excerpt: So, we bought this tv as a family tv in a sale and at the same time they had on an offer than if we bought the tv and a soundbar it would be altogether cheaper which they recommended with the tv as the sound wasnt 'great' as the adverts lie about! They were right!
Pros: brilliant quality, easy to install, huge screen for family viewing .
Summary: Very difficult to source the correct 3d glasses having been told they were easy to get. Once found they cost over £40 a piece, making the total package of tv and 4pairs of glasses very expensive, I would have gone passive 3d if I had known.
