Summary: Good quality tv. Good picture ok sound. Just before the warranty ran out a board went down. LG warranty was great. They took care of the problem in home in a resonable amount of time & it has worked fine sence. Thank you Amazon!!!
Summary: After 1 1/2 years, I've had to replace the power board twice, which is unacceptable. The LG warranty covered the first replacement but they installed a refurbished power board that lasted 6 months. The TV is fine but I've noticed too many people posting the same problem with my model and its successors. LG's website also directed me to a terrible TV repair service in my area. Thankfully, I looked up the uniformly negative reviews and decided not to use them.
Summary: 50% of these tvs have line bleeds, and guess what mine does. I called the lg repairman to take a look at it and he told me it was just interference. Guess what it was not . I have been researching this tv and spoke to many people that own it and almost all of them have the line bleeds. If the line bleeds didn't exist then it would be a great tv.
Summary: The 50PX950 is a great value for the money--or at least, it was when I bought it. The price has jumped to $2000, so I would probably go for another Panasonic, Samsung or LG model. I'm very happy with the number and variety of different inputs (4 HDMI's), the breadth and depth of the audio/video configuration options and the 3D performance. I'm not very pleased with the 2D->3D conversion.
Summary: When you can get just as good a plasma, if not better in some aspects, by getting this LG. There are better technical reviews on this set (Check autman123's review) so I won't get into pro's and con's here. Now whether five hundred or five million people buy a particular thing isn't going to necessarily determine if I buy the same item. Any dead fish can float down stream.
Summary: You won't be disappointed with the picture quality. I also did a lot of research and settled for this one. Looks like I bought in time for $1200 on amazon, it is more expensive now. I bought to future proof with 3D, but that may not have been worth it. If you can get the same quality in 2D I say go for it. I don't want to shell out another $200 for 3d glasses, and I don't buy blurays, I just get on Netflix and they don't give 3D.
Summary: After exhausting research (which drove my wife nuts!), I decided that this LG was the one to purchase. The postive reviews from many reputable sources helped to convince me. I believe that the time I invested prior to buying was well worth it as I am completely blown away by our new television. With settings sugggested by CNET, the picture is nothing short of stunning.
Summary: I've read everyone's review on this TV and I said to my self, this must be a good TV, that's a huge understatement. The TV is hands down one of the best TV's I have ever seen!. The picture is amazing, and the simplicity of the menu is great for such a sophisticated Tv. I would recommend this TV to all!
Summary: This is a must buy product! I love the 2D picture it is amazing, like previous reviews stated at 1st i was skeptical of the image but now that its warming up it is a Must see to believe. I am also in Love with 3D, most people say its just a bonus, they are not into the 3D blah blah blah. I can't say enough!
Summary: I spent alot of time researching TV's and waiting for prices to drop before I bought. Originally I wanted a LED TV, thinking that was the best, but once I did more research and looked at TV's in person, the LG Plasma 50PX950 caught my eye and stood out among the others. I have no interest in 3D at this time, but it's great to have for future reference.
