Summary: Honestly, I love this TV. I had a 42 inch plasma before, and wanted another because of the awkward viewing area and the way our room is set up. I did give the TV - 1 star though for a reason. Fed Ex. Honestly, if I had to do it all over again, I wouldn't order online. The day Fed Ex delivered it, I was in my basement and my wife opened the door for him. I heard a loud crash up stairs and ran up because I thought someone was hurt.
Summary: I bought this tv 6 months ago. It's price was too cheaper from but it's performance was just perfect. Only one thing made me angry. I've never seen a tv lacks 3.5mm or rca output. My sound system doesn't have optical output. However for it's price, it's still great tv. ps.
Summary: This television has an absolutely beautiful picture. All the HD levels look incredible. It reflects light sources in a room which can be a little annoying but rarely a problem in my living room. The remote is not very responsive but it could be the batteries I have been putting in it. I really have enjoyed watching some of the latest move visual affects on it.
Summary: I first turned this TV on 6 months ago. It arrived as scheduled and sustained no damage. There were no hassles in getting it going. I was skeptical at start because I normally lean towards Samsung. I replaced a 720p Plasma so this is definitely an improvement. I would recommend this TV. The one item I was a bit disappointed with was the sound but I fixed that with an optical cord going into a surround system.
Summary: I am extremely happy with this TV. The picture is very sharp and it's great for both watching movies or playing games. The only real downside to it so that the sound can be a little quite at times and the picture can be a little too dark. I found when playing games (Last of Us, Uncharted, etc) I would have to increase the brightness on both the TV and with in the game. I didn't really notice this problem when just watching TV.
Summary: This is a good tv for the price. I got it on Amazon Prime for $550. I hesitate to give it five stars because I just like lcd tvs better. I also have a Sony BRAVIA KDL-55EX501, and a Samsung LN40C630K, both lcd tvs, and I like them better. Plasma tvs remind me of the old CRTs, it even has the glass screen that reflects everything (don't put it in a bright room, its great in the basement).
Summary: I wanted a 50" plasma with a great picture, and zero smart features, no 3d, didn't really care about inputs. It was destined for my bedroom where it's sole input sources would be a cable box, and an AppleTV (which has all the "smart" features I need). The picture is noticeably good - though I can't say how it would fare if there were 20 other TVs next to it playing the same source - as you might see in Best Buy - there aren't.
Summary: I bought this 50" HDTV to have installed in my den so I could move a 42" Panasonic Viera Plasma HDTV which I moved to my bedroom. The price was definitely right for the LG and I have several LG appliances (refrigerator, gas stove, dishwasher, etc.) all of which I really like. While I'm not unhappy with this LG HDTV I don't think the picture is as good as the one on my older Panasonic.
