Summary: Honestly, I love this TV. I had a 42 inch plasma before, and wanted another because of the awkward viewing area and the way our room is set up. I did give the TV - 1 star though for a reason. Fed Ex. Honestly, if I had to do it all over again, I wouldn't order online. The day Fed Ex delivered it, I was in my basement and my wife opened the door for him. I heard a loud crash up stairs and ran up because I thought someone was hurt.
Summary: I bought this tv 6 months ago. It's price was too cheaper from but it's performance was just perfect. Only one thing made me angry. I've never seen a tv lacks 3.5mm or rca output. My sound system doesn't have optical output. However for it's price, it's still great tv. ps.
Summary: This television has an absolutely beautiful picture. All the HD levels look incredible. It reflects light sources in a room which can be a little annoying but rarely a problem in my living room. The remote is not very responsive but it could be the batteries I have been putting in it. I really have enjoyed watching some of the latest move visual affects on it.
Summary: The first thing you'll probably notice about this TV is the price. At the time of this review, Amazon is selling it for $649.00 with free shipping. This is very competitively priced for a 50-inch, 1080p television, especially from a major brand like LG. Some other words you might notice are things like "Plasma" and "600 Hz" which I will try to help explain if you're not already familiar.
Summary: This is my first plasma TV and so far I am satisfied. Prior to this LG the only other flat screen TV's that I have had are LCD's by Sharp, Panasonic, and Samsung. To start off the review I will focus a little on the delivery by Amazon. The TV was delivered by Ceva and they did a good job. I did not have them setup the TV, though that is part of their service. The delivery company called to schedule the TV and gave me a four-hour window that they would deliver it within.
Summary: This LG TV was an upgrade from our 42" HDTV. It set up within minutes and requires minimal tinkering to begin enjoying your television. The size upgrade alone was obviously imposing, but the picture is amazing. Between you and me, I think I prefer this TV to the LED Cinema TV dominating our family room. This is probably a matter of taste, but the picture on this set is slightly sharper.
Summary: I first turned this TV on 6 months ago. It arrived as scheduled and sustained no damage. There were no hassles in getting it going. I was skeptical at start because I normally lean towards Samsung. I replaced a 720p Plasma so this is definitely an improvement. I would recommend this TV. The one item I was a bit disappointed with was the sound but I fixed that with an optical cord going into a surround system.
Summary: I am extremely happy with this TV. The picture is very sharp and it's great for both watching movies or playing games. The only real downside to it so that the sound can be a little quite at times and the picture can be a little too dark. I found when playing games (Last of Us, Uncharted, etc) I would have to increase the brightness on both the TV and with in the game. I didn't really notice this problem when just watching TV.
