Summary: I wouldn't go overboard and tell you to spend over a grand on this tv, but if you want an affordable 50inch tv, this will most certainly get this job done, with plenty of ports (including 3 HDMI) to keep your media rolling and looking good in the process. It doesn't have that annoying motion blur that some TV's have, and if you are watching a film in HD, you can't knock the quality visuals this TV can display.
Like being at the theatre, but in the comfort of your home

Excerpt: Life is good....... Well recently we bought a few new electronics, which I've reviewed. This one is soooo.... sweet! LG 50" Plasma HDTV!! All 50" is well worth the money. If you think 50" is too large for your living room, were told, "it's never too big." I'm talking about LG Plasma HDTV. The picture is so beautiful. And sharp pictures delivers the best in the business. Easy to hook up with a HD box for immediate HD viewing.
Excerpt: Let me start by saying I got this TV for $500 at a local fry's. I already owned a 40" toshiba 120hz lcd tv which I like a lot. This 50" plasma though is something else. The picture on this was absolutely amazing! I was a little scared at first because it was only 720p, but if you really know your tv's 720p and 1080p arent too big a difference right now. This is many because hd broadcasted television from cable and satelite providers do not broadcast in 1080p just yet.
Excerpt: I bought this TV to replace my old LCD TV in the living room. The LCD was a 42'' 1080p and was going into my bedroom. I am very very happy with this purchase. The picture was great. As good, if not better than my old LCD(even though this plasma is only 720p). There are plenty of options on the TV to adjust the picture on the TV to tweak it to the perfect settings for you. They also have preset options for Movies, Gaming, and Sports.
Summary: I bought this TV because of the price and because it was an LG which is a pretty big name. The price was $599.00 plus $49.00 shipping and instalation. I also bought an LG Home Theater system which the remote controls are compatible with each other. The HD picture is bright and the colors are vibrant. There are several settings to choose from for picky consumers. I have two LCD TVs in the house but the plasma beats them all hands down with clarity and brightness.
Summary: First, the was delivered broken. The seller, NOT Amazon, was actually really good about the exchange and fast to get back to me. This is a plasma TV so it uses more energy than other LCD or LED TVs. I was more concerned with the deapth of the TV rather than energy consumption, so for the price, it was a really good value. The TV looks great, the features are good, and most importantly the frame itself looks good and the TV is really thin. I would buy this TV again.
Summary: this is my first LG television and by far the best tv I have ever owned. The colors are vibrate, and so lifelike, it is amazing. From regular tv to blue ray and high def, it is as if you could reach in and touch what ever is on the screen!!! I absolutely love it. I have owned it for almost 2 years now and have no compliants. The sound is realistic, sharp and clear. I will shop for more LG products in the future. Thank you for an awesome product.
Pros: Performance, Style/Design, easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality
