Summary: My TV died after three months. At this time, I have been waiting for three weeks to a factory repair person to keep an apointment. I have left work early three times to meet someone here who has never showed! The TV is a piece of junk, and service after the sell is even worse. The factory aurthurize service company tells me they have many service bulluntines on this TV, and many upset customers. Don't buy any LG product!
Summary: Being an avid fan of any movie that comes out in the theaters in 3D I was hoping to experience the same effects when at home and got exactly that! The picture quality is incredible and at times when I was watching "Final Destination", "Avatara" and "Journey To The Center Of The Earth", I actually jumped back when things came at me. Just what I wanted. The 2D to 3D conversion is really what intrigued me though and I have to say, I'm impressed!
Summary: I did not buy this television, I went with the 47LM4700. It's the same TV but you also get a 40 watt sound bar. I am writing this review because it's worth pointing out that 1) this television is awesome and may just be the best 47" television for the money and 2) the sound bar is not that exceptional. It is worth the $20 price difference between units if you have a large room and need the additional volume. But if not, it's not. And now you know.
Summary: LG 47LM4600 47" TV....wow simply beautiful picture. Of course I'm coming from an old 24 yr old 27" RCA color tv, but WOW. I don't know if I will use the 3D feature but for the sale price, (it was on clearance) I just couldn't pass up moving into the 21 century of TV's. I probably could have figured out how, but I didn't even try to hook up my DVD-R & my VHS/DVD player recorder. Gee whiz, that's what I have a son-in-law who is a computer whiz for!!
Summary: I was excited to buy an LG product as I had heard a lot of great things. Was disappointed with the sound quality. Doesn't compare to my Toshiba. The picture is nice though. VERY DISAPPOINTED with LG's customer service. There was a screw missing so I called and asked them to send it to me. I made that request on April 8th and they said it would be 10 days.
Summary: Went with the LG 47" tv because it had most of the features I was shopping for. The price was right. I even saved a little more in the time it took me to decide to buy it. Being a 3D capable flat screen was at the top of my list. My criteria was 42" to 50" screen, LED or Plasma with 3D and no more than $600.00. Size wise this set fell in the upper size range I was looking for and it being ultra-slim was an added bonus.
