  • Summary: i traded this tv for a different one a while back, and it was a horrible decision. the 2D-> 3D on this TV compared to a few other brands is far superior. the sound bar is an extra.

exciting 3D viewing

Toledo, LG Electronics Ratings and Reviews

  • Summary: This television is far superior to the 720p plasma it replaces. The price would have been reasonable for a non-3D television. The picture is sharp and clear. 3D playback of a 3D dvd is quite exciting. 2D to 3D conversion isn't bad either.

  • Summary: I purchased this TV and placed on top of a fireplace mantel. The TV is super slim, and the base is only about 10 ", so it was basically a perfect fit on the mantle. I was a little concerned that the TV might be a bit unstable /prone to tipping because it is so thin, but the base has a hole where a screw can fasten the TV to the stand and then the stand to the table which it sits on, good feature.

Stop searching and buy this TV

mlk18, Amazon
13 June 2013
  • Summary: I read a hundred reviews, watched dozens of videos and compared dozens of televisions in my search for a new TV. What I found was that LG seems to be the brand to buy if you want excellent video quality and a TV that will last more than a year or two. But what really sold me was walking into an electronics store and seeing a 47" LG next to a comparable Sony and Panasonic (both of which were a few hundred dollars more).

  • Summary: When our 6 year old 50" plasma television died we began the process of selecting a new one. After a whole lot of research, reviews, advice and staring at televisions in stores we decided to go with LG. Three different sales clerks (in 3 different stores) told me that they have less customer returns and complaints with LG than any other brand (even though all three stores were pushing the Sony and/or Panasonic). One store had this same TV (sans soundbar) for $700.
