Love it

Ward A., Newegg
15 March 2011
  • Summary: The side HDMI port is nice. I can hook my laptop up to the screen (now that my XBMC pc died) and run XBMC like a champ. Just plug it right in the side, and take it right out. No messing with the back of the screen. This TV is amazing. Specially since I came from a 32" CRT with a bad AR.
  • Pros: - Light weight - Good amount of ports - GREAT picture
  • Cons: - Speakers are a lil weak - No Picture in Picture - not that bad though. - The Screen tweaking options are a bit limited.

Awesome!

Jeffrey H., Newegg
14 March 2011
  • Summary: Price is right, got for $699 with free shipping.
  • Pros: Big upgrade from my 60hz LCD. Makes movies and TV come to life!
  • Cons: Only 1 set of component inputs. But 4 HDMI makes up for it. Power Saving mode is horrible, picture dims and gets brighter, turn off in menu for lighting.

Model#: 47LD500

Allison G., Newegg

  • Summary: Shop and compare, you will be hard pressed to find a comparable LCD in this price range.......
  • Pros: Wow!!! What a great picture, no Outstanding picture, I have read all the reviews on nearly all the top models and name brand LCDs, and this LG is right at the top of the list as far as customer satisfaction. A lot of bang for your buck!! If you have been putting off buying a nice HDTV wait no lon...
  • Cons: The sound isn't all that it should be, my advice is spend a few extra $$ and buy a decent surround sound system....

Fantastic DEAL!

Aharon J., Newegg
11 March 2011
  • Summary: steal the deal while it lasts!
  • Pros: very affordable. The TV looks great, i have it in my room and am really glad i chose this one. AIT shipping wasnt fast, but got it in about a week and a half. (not complaining since it was FREE) Xbox and netflix both seem to look great, i have noticed very little ghosting and picture looks crisp....
  • Cons: not really a con just prefference, dont really like when TV manufacturers put volume/chanel controls on the side of the tv where you really cant see it well. (i knew this before i bought it but very willing to put up with it due to the great picture and price)

Great TV

Ronald B., Newegg
11 March 2011
  • Summary: I would recommend this TV to anyone. At $699 with free delivery it is an EXCELLENT deal. I saw some reviews about bad delivery and experience with AIT, but they were great with me. Just remember to turn off that energy saving feature and put truemotion to high and you will be VERY happy.
  • Pros: This tv is awesome with some tweaking. The picture is crisp and clear with no motion blur. A ton of hookups to keep you happy, even a usb for pics and mp3's. The sound is very good compared to my other 2 lcd's. Delivery for me was great, took 6 days to get to my door using AIT.
  • Cons: TURN OFF the Energy Saving feature! With it on, your picture will suck no mater what you do. Turn your Truemotion to high to keep any 'blur' to a minimum.

MAke a wise decision

mudassar c., Newegg
7 March 2011
  • Summary: Well , really disappointed with the colors and image sharpness on this tv. It has 8ms response time, gamers beware. 8ms response time, even my other tv has response time of 2.4ms which i bought 2 years back .
  • Pros: Low price. Nice screen size.
  • Cons: 8ms response time, absolutely no for gamers. No clear voice II, no intelligent sensor,no pic wizard, no isfccc calibration, no infinte sound, no simple link for remote.

A nice upgrade!

David A., Newegg
3 March 2011
  • Summary: Again, this was a move up from the old 100+ pound, 26" CRT so HDTV and TV on this scale is new to me. Yup, just crawled out of a cave.
  • Pros: Good picture, easy menu features, sound is pretty good for the small room it occupies.
  • Cons: Coming from a 26" CRT, you REALLY notice camera movement during shots. Also, scenes shot with a green screen are WAY more obvious. Not really a con, just a function of the size of the picture and detail available. Was motion sick for a while till I got used to the all-encompassing experience.
