Summary: Google TV needs to better support their platform! There are other smart TVs out there and we have (3) LG 47" 3d smart TVs in our house. Both of my kids have has this tv in their rooms and both have quietly swapped it out for a non android (google tv) model as this is the only actual "google" tv of the three.
Summary: My TV has all of a sudden, turn itself on every couple of days in the middle of the night. I contacted LG and they will not help me out since this TV is supposedly an "international model". Bought this back in January 2013. And it's already defective. NO SUPPORT. ZERO! They want me to contact the place I bought it from which is TigerDirect. I'll see how they handle this.
Summary: I was using this TV to watch live TV on websites with flash support and watch movies on crackle. But an update to this TV with android 4.2 made the TV completely useless and i can't revert it back. Update removed flash support and crackle, which made this TV obsolete for me. Lack of Flash, crackle application, Direct DLNA Support to stream from pc or mobile, very less google apps support made this tv not much useful. on the positive side display and 3d tv is good.
Summary: It was 4 stars before Android 4.2.2 update. I used to watch crackle, cricket and some wbesites with flash content. After 4.2.2 update they removed flash and crackle support which made it completely unusable TV for me. LG, please bring back flash support on this TV along with crackle support. Otherwise it's a dummy/old fashioned TV except playing youtube videos from mobile (air play style) or from the TV. Though it is android, it doesn't support many apps.
Summary: My 55 inch had problems soon after purchase, the remote had to be synched regularly and the remote had to be replaced after six months. Then a message banner popped up on the bottom of the screen saying internet not connected although it was, this continued every 20 seconds to a minute.
Summary: The latest Android (4.2.2) update does not support Flash video. There still is a lot of Flash video out on the web and keep in mind that this thing can't play it. Also, it appears that some websites block Google TV's. I've found I can play the exact same video smoothly on my desktop or laptop but will be blocked or have very slow/jerky playback when trying to play on my LG 47G2 Google TV (over the exact same network and router).
