Excerpt: We have had this TV for about 2 years now. It is a great tv. We have never had any problems with it. This model is a 1080P and is excellent picture. There are many options on this TV and has lots of RCA jacks on it that we have 2 game systems hooked up at one time. Plus we have a Dish receiver hooked to it as well as surround sound system. We will definately buy another LG tv as soon as we decide to upgrade.
Buy this tv under the retail value...and its a great find.

Summary: This tv does everything I want a tv to do. It can be tweaked to just the right picture....even the lavenders....hahaha. The 240 HZ makes watching sports even better...you see no blurring. You can see the seams on the basketball when its shot. The only bad thing about this tv..is the glare. You really cant have other light sources on ao it will leave a glare. Other than that...I would buy this tv again...and reccomend it to anyone.
Summary: Besides the picture quality my buying decision was primarily based on the appearance. This is the one of the best TV out there for its price - for a sub $1000 LCD HDTV this is a great value. For the look, this TV is absolutely stunning, I was captured by the appearance of this TV. Due to space limitation I had to go with the 42" model, but there is a 47" (LG 47SL80) or alternatively with LED back-light (LG 47SL90) of course in a higher price range.
Excerpt: We have had this TV for a few years now. We love the netflix feature. We don't need an extra box to require us to stream netflix. It has worked great for our family. My husband built a network in our house and we can actually pick it up from the TV to display photos that are saved on our server. Great for making a slideshow for parties. This TV has been going strong for many years, been through 4 moves and we have yet to have any problem with it.
Excerpt: This is a great TV. The picture as well as the color are excellent. The installation was easy. There were no difficulties connecting with the existing cable box and the DVD. It required nothing special so most anyone could set it up. The price -- about $430 -- was great.
Excerpt: This is a great HD tv. I got my tv at Sams club and the price was not bad. I can tell the best HD quality while I am watching live events, like Nascar races or basketball games. I have had my tv for about 3 years and love it. I have not had any problems with it. If you accidenially leave the tv on without the cable on, after a certain amount of time, the tv will turn off. The picture quality is great for live sports and bright children's movies.
Excerpt: This was my first ever HDTV to purchase & own so I was new to HDTV's but I did alot of research on them & found that the LG brand was a great choice with an awesome picture for a decent price. I have been pretty happy with it other than the speakers on it will sometimes distort when music is being played through the tv otherwise its been a great HDTV.
Excerpt: This was our first flat screen TV purchase. One of the primary reasons we chose this brand/model was the size. We wanted a 42 inch screen, but most of the other brands were slightly too wide to fit into an antique cabinet we use to house our TV. Set up fairly straight forth and simple, especially with the help of our 23 year old son! The picture is clear, but the sound quality could definitely be better.
Great product; hope sound/video quality fixed tomorrow

Summary: Received the product seven days as promised. No problem with assembly. One problem; sound lags picture as many reviewed prior. Called customer services within 24 hours of receipt and promised service between 8:00 and 12:00, noon tomorrow. Very happy with the service thus far. It was indicated that I should have an update applied tomorrow that should correct the audio/vidio problem. This is the reason for the 4 1/2 construction quality.
Summary: I love the picture and build quality but have to agree with the other review that the glass front makes this TV too reflective - everything is there! The product shots really don't give you a good impression of this. So, this TV would work best in a media room where you can really cut out unwanted light. My plan is to fix with really light frosting film - if I can find something appropriate will post a follow up. HD content looks fantastic. Blacks are very black.
