Summary: I've had my Lg for three years. Never once had issues. Very nice sound and picture. My next tv will be the same. Maybe bigger lol. I've had 2 vizio's and 1 Soney. One of the vizio's never worked. The other only lasted a year. The Soney was iffy. Sometimes the sound worked other times it didn't.
Summary: I've been very happy with this LG set. I previously used a 6 year-old Westinghouse LCD that progressively became un-watchable. A comparison of the two is not valid. I have owned the set for about 2 months.
Summary: I've been happy with my Panasonic 50-inch plasma in the living room and wanted another, smaller 42-inch for the bedroom a year later but I found the LG was 100 dollars cheaper, selling for $470 with free shipping on Amazon, so I took a chance. So far I'm glad I did. Set-up was easy.
Summary: Problem is conflict between IP and LG. However you can use standard LG closed caption, but must transfer input to RF input. This is OK for me since I view from 16 ft away and difference between upconverted standard definition and HD is nil. In love with the set. All around friendly.
Summary: TV FINALLY ARRIVED. PACKAGING NOTHING SPEIAL, JUST ORIGINAL BOX. HOWEVER, IT APPEARS IT WAS HANDED OFF TO SEVERAL SHIPPERS WHERE IT SAT FOR A COUPLE OF DAYS AT EACH. 2ND LG, JUST LOVE THEM. FIRST WAS 47" LCD. THIS 42"PLASMA SHOULD BE GREAT ADDTION ON WALL.
As nice a set as you could ask for at a low price point from the # 1 HDTV Manufacturer

Summary: Of the many hundreds if not thousands of HDTV units, both big brand name and 'generic', this LG 42PT350 was 1 of only 8 models tested by Consumer's Reports out of all sizes, all prices and all formats which the magazine chose not just to praise but to actually recommend for purchase.
Summary: Bought this tv and boy is it great for the price! Honestly, theres no difference between 720 and 1080. This tv is pretty nice for a $500 42". Very bright picture, easy to use remote, and quick setup time. Has a nicer picture than my 57" Mitsubishi I paid $1400 for.
Summary: I was a little leary purchasing a plasma TV with all the new LCD and LED models coming out but the price and reviews twisted my arm. After receiving the set which came very well packed I saw that the screen had a glossy finish.
