Summary: This was my first flat screen tv and I went plasma and I am very happy. The picture quality is very good. I have had this TV for close to one year and have noty had any problems. Very easy to use the menu.
Summary: I've been very happy with this LG set. I previously used a 6 year-old Westinghouse LCD that progressively became un-watchable. A comparison of the two is not valid. I have owned the set for about 2 months. And in that time, I've been very pleased to see the vivid colors, the smooth motions, popping brightness, and versatility of this plasma. A digital antenna is used for OTA HD digital network signals, and an XBOX 360 provides my gaming.
Summary: This is a great tv i received it yesterday and i absolutely love it it was a great buy i have been wanting a new tv for a while and i found this one and the price was great i paid 200.00 less then average retail value.
Summary: I have only had this TV for a month or so, but I love it! The size is perfect for me, the color, contrast and features are superb for the price I paid. As an entry level plasma television, this is a very good product. Set-up was so very easy, the remote is simple to use and the set has three hdmi ports. If you're looking for a plasma set, don't hesitate to purchase this set. The shipping was on time and the packaging was very well padded and handled. Go for it!
Summary: This is my first television of the plasma realm, and I can't believe all the negativity I had previously heard. I use a ROKU box and an Xbox 360 both linked with HDMI (in a dark room of course) and have never seen a better picture. Well worth the money.
Summary: I waited a while to write the review so I could accurately gage the product. I've had this tv for about 5 months and let me say it is so worth the money. The picture quality is amazing the initial set up is easy, and it is easy to sync up such things as my cable box, wii, and dvd player. I will say that the touch buttons on the front of the tv are hard to use and take a while to get used to but as long as you have the remote you will be fine.
Summary: At least one pro reviewer has argued recently that the PK950 model sold in 2010/2011 is the best LG plasma ever made. I have a 50" version of that model mounted in my living room and can attest that it's an outstanding plasma HDTV. The PK950's premium black filter and special screen surface make for a stunning picture without the glare so typical of most plasmas.
Summary: I've been happy with my Panasonic 50-inch plasma in the living room and wanted another, smaller 42-inch for the bedroom a year later but I found the LG was 100 dollars cheaper, selling for $470 with free shipping on Amazon, so I took a chance. So far I'm glad I did. Set-up was easy. Compared to my Panasonic, the LG is as sharp on HD channels and better yet the LG gives a crisper picture on non-HD channels. My wife agrees with me on this point.
Summary: Problem is conflict between IP and LG. However you can use standard LG closed caption, but must transfer input to RF input. This is OK for me since I view from 16 ft away and difference between upconverted standard definition and HD is nil. In love with the set. All around friendly.
