Sounds good, but not nearly as good as at the store.

  • Excerpt: This TV is ok and does its job of showing me programs and movies.  However, the tv on display at the store had a much better quality picture.  I think it was because they use HD DVDs and I don't have any of those, so my picture is only so-so.

I'm loving my LG 42 in Plasma TV

  • Excerpt: I bought my LG-42PJ350 earlier this year from Ivan Smith Furniture as part of a living room package, and I am totally loving it. The 42 inch is a great size for my living room. The screen is ultra-thin and the picture quality is excellent. I really like that it offers a lot of AV inputs on the back of the TV, so we can hook up our DVR, DVD player, and gaming devices all at the same time (our former non-plasma TV made it really difficult to hook everything up all at one...

The LG HDTV Plasma is a GREAT TV

  • Excerpt: We bought a "big screen" tv 4 years ago and it gave out on us and was going to cost $500 to fix so we went to Best Buy and got the reviews, went online and got reviews and ended up with this LG TV. It's a great sleek looking tv and my husband and I are very happy with it. The cost was right with our budget. We really like LG brand, and have had great luck so far with our washer, dryer, and fridge so we were not afraid to buy another LG product.

awesome TV

  • Excerpt: I am very satisfied with the picture quality of this TV. The contrast and viewing angle are above average for an LCD set. (Note, you can't really believe the specified contrast ratio, since that's achieved with dynamic contrast. There are definitely some artifacts from that, and many owners will want to turn it off.) My TV does have some mild light bleed in one corner, but I am able to live with it.

Best TV i've ever had

  • Excerpt: We got this tv after saving up and shopping around a lot. There was a sale at HH Gregg so we got it there for under $500 before taxes.  We have been very pleased since purchasing back in July.  We had a 6 year old flat screen (but deep panel) tv that was very bulky and had to be on the entertainment center. Once our little one got to crawling and standing she was messing with everything on the entertainment center.

Great Picture, Average Features

Inaminute, LG Electronics Ratings and Reviews

  • Summary: I won this tv and it took the place of a 32" LCD 720p tv in my living room. The picture looks really good to me, at least as good as the 32", but it lacks features like internet connectivity and the only audio out is digital optical, which was a little bit disappointing. The menus are easy to use, colorful and have large, easy to read text. I just used a preset for the display settings and it looks great.
  • Pros: Style/Design, easy to use

Great Picture, Great Value, But HDMI Audio Issues .

  • Summary: Recently purchased this LG 42PJ350 42" 720p Plasma TV online for under five hundred bucks delivered. (Amazon says this one year old model has been available "since 2003" ? An obvious misprint.) We use it in our small (12' x 12') living room to mostly watch High Definition cable TV broadcasts, DVR recordings, and an occasional DVD movie. We watch a considerable amount of sports, and are not Blu-Ray collectors nor video gamers.

So far so good

  • Summary: I am not a videophile but I will say that my other TV is a 50" Pioneer Kuro plasma TV purchased right as Pioneer exited the TV business, so I have very high standards when it comes to picture quality. I purchased this TV sight unseen; I was looking for a low-end plasma to put into a rec area in our basement. For the $500 I paid there is no way to guarantee a good picture quality unless you go plasma. LCD's in this size and price range just can't match up.

  • Summary: Great Plasma TV set, no it is not 1080P but with an HD signal with an HDMI cable you will be more than satisfied with your purchase. This is our second set (same model etc). We were so happy with the first one we got for our family room, that we purchased a second set as a computer monitor. Looks great on the wall and give us ample space on our computer desk to work. Real estate is huge and a great PC display.

Excellent Bang for the Buck

Drewbie, Amazon

  • Summary: After choosing Plasma over LCD, I narrowed my options down by price. I was shooting for the $500 range and this set fit the bill. It arrived ahead of schedule and I set it up without issues. The color depth and richness is quite nice and the set preforms well with my xBox 360. This is my first HD set (I'm not exactly an early adopter) and after viewing it for a few weeks I have decided that it is well worth the money.
