28 March 2012
  • Excerpt: The primary reason why 3D didn’t really take off is the not inconsiderable discomfort faced by anyone and everyone experiencing it. The active shutter glasses tend to be heavy, and require the viewer to be placed within a certain arc to experience 3D.
  • Pros: Excellent 2D performance, 2D to 3D upscale is impressive, Passive 3D glasses are a lot more comfortable, Good mix of colour depth, sharpness and TruMotion, Local dimming feature helps with black levels
  • Cons: TV tends to rock around a bit when touched, on the tabletop stand install, Wi-Fi not integrated; needs optional adapter, Remote layout leans towards the complicated side
